New Japan on AXS is like a perfect intro to New Japan
also I saw on youtube some NOAH matches with Mauro Ranallo commentary, which was a cool find. That dude is a really good announcer.

That's neat. Hopefully some matches of hers get shown on this show soon. There is a 6 person tag from a few weeks back, her , Doc and Machine Gun vs. the Kingdom (Maria, Mike Bennet and Matt Taven) that is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I could not find any past episodes OnDemand.

Damn, that end to Okada/Styles was something else! I know AJ always points to his match against Tanahashi in the 2015 G1 Climax as his favorite match in Japan but I've always felt this match against Okada was his best work. I think the Minoru Suzuki match was best. That Okada/Styles one was easily their best though.

Damn, that end to Okada/Styles was something else! Okada is generally awesome at building ending sequences. WK 10 notwithstanding.

May 27 can't come soon enough! Also, any idea if they'll ever get more caught up? I get that it's tough to have a show in Japan then edit a TV program for American audiences, but should they really be this behind?
Really it's my only nitpick with the show. It's still the best wrestling program on US TV today IMHO.

They'll have to take a hiatus and break from airing shows on AXS, or else they'd catch up with current New Japan.

That's a great lineup but they should also have Honma winning his first G1 match against Ishii at Korakuen.

This thing is long since done in post but they not only leave in JR forgetting what match he was calling but a good 2 or 3 minute bit of silence while he figures it out. He has got to go.

So, what I'm gathering from this is TNA's Bound For Glory series was essentially a less competently done version of the G1 Climax.

I don't think I could have asked for a better introduction to Kota Ibushi than I just got. He played the face in peril, and he played it very well.
