Well, at least they got a versatile athlete. They now have two hybrid safeties (Clayton Geathers played both safety and LB and Green might play both safety and CB).

The Patriots are upcoming with the 60th and 61st picks. I can all but guarantee they will trade one of the picks and use the other on a player most analysts projected to be selected in the fifth round or later.

To be fair to your team, they rarely shit the bed too badly with their draft picks. They find players that might not normally be that impressive that fit their system perfectly, so I rarely will be critical of their choices.

I like the selection of Cyrus Jones. NFL.com projected him as a third-round pick but taking him 60th overall isn't exactly reaching. I like the fact that he's a stud punt returner, because finding a reliable punt returner who could simply field the ball and not bobble it away was a problem the Patriots faced after Julian Edelman's injury last season.
But what I like the most is that he's played at Alabama. I feel like there's a certain intangible to playing for the best team in the best conference in college football and consistently facing the best competition in the nation. He's not going to be overwhelmed by the moment or by playing for a team that is always in the hunt for the Lombardi Trophy. I'd rather take a pretty good cornerback from Alabama as opposed to a supposedly-elite cornerback from somewhere like Marshall or Fresno State.
Also, according to NFL.com, Jones plays with some piss and vinegar in him, which will be a good pairing with Malcolm Butler, who plays with a chip on his shoulder the size of Jupiter. The Patriots' secondary needs a little bit of attitude and nastiness.
I'm fine with them trading away the 61st pick because at no point did I honestly believe they'd use back-to-back picks. Now they have an extra third- and fourth-round pick to continue to build depth where they need it: the offensive and defensive lines and perhaps an extra skill position offensive player.

If I were one of those legends announcing picks with Goodell, I would totally announce someone who doesn't exist
"With the 65th pick in the 2016 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select..Roose Bolton, Quarterback, Dreadfort St."
