I feel like I'm missing something obvious... I don't get the safety pin reference and I've seen it quite a few times lately. I'm normally sorta "hip" and "with it", I'm able to piece together most memes and stuff. But the meaning of the safety pin eludes me. The idea is that in the wake of the election, white people wore the safety pin to let other minorities know that they were safe around them and that the person wearing the pin was an ally. The problem is two-fold. 1. It's a pretty meaningless gesture that serves to make people feel good about themselves without really doing anything. 2. The pin was quickly co-opted by white nationalists, completely defeating the whole purpose. So, now it's a big joke. ...Well, bigger than it was when it started. The #SafetyPinMovement started in the wake of Brexit. And for the teams without the #SafetyPin, these are the teams who are playing the Browns this season.

I was under the impression that it was aimed at solidarity with LGBTQ?

Per ESPN, Vikings' coach Mike Zimmer is having emergency eye surgery and is not a guarantee for tomorrow's game with Dallas.

Per ESPN, Vikings' coach Mike Zimmer is having emergency eye surgery and is not a guarantee for tomorrow's game with Dallas. Brian will help him by being his seeing eye dog. Brian: "Ezekiel ran for another first down. And he did it again. Now Dak's throwing downfield. And they did it again. And....Touchdown, Dallas. Now the fans are pissed."

The Rams also have a plan to hold the Patriot's Triple Option Offensive Package to 0 total yards.

The Rams also have a plan to hold the Patriot's Triple Option Offensive Package to 0 total yards. Ugh. I just... People hate Bill Belichick and his demeanor. I get it, but he'll tell you the name of the Rams' starters, 2nd,3rd and 4th stringers, their towel boy, and the Beer vendor from section 207. The difference between great coaching and terrible coaching is on full display right now. Jeff Fisher is absolute trash as a head coach. He's coasting off of a Superbowl trip 17 years ago. His career record is just barely over .500. How he's been so gainfully employed this long, and is regarded as some kind of symbol of coaching excellent gives me an ice cream headache

I think he's still traumatized from the beatdowns Bill gave him in 2009 and 2012.

Gronk is having back surgery tomorrow. Oh dear f***! This plus the d sucking and Brady limping, this is as the great trust company would say the downfall.

Profootballtalk reports Rob Gronkowski will undergo back surgery on Friday.
Per the Buffalo News, Gronk has a "ruptured disk," and will be sidelined roughly eight weeks. It's a devastating blow for the Super Bowl-or-bust Patriots, and will be the third known back operation of Gronk's football playing career. Gronk also went under the knife in 2009 and 2013. If Gronk returns this season, it would probably only be for a theoretical Super Bowl appearance. The Pats have already designated a player to return from injured reserve, so that option is out the window. Martellus Bennett will be a weekly TE1 in his absence. Gronk, who turns 28 in May, has been indestructible even as he weathers injury after injury and surgery after surgery, but at some point, it's going to take a toll. __
Too bad. Not a Pats fan, but I like to see the best players actually play.

Much to the joy of Bears fans everywhere, Jay Cutler is done for the year. They could send the practice squad out there and they'd still beat SF. Oh wait...turns out they did.
