Scummy Rougeau, Volume 1...
(You know, he never killed anyone or jacked off on anyone's face, but he's still not a nice guy)
- After KO left, maybe a couple of months, Jacques ran a show to raise funds for research on autism. KO's son Owen has high-functionning autism so he wanted to take part in this to help the cause. He even wanted to use the talent exodus and his own defection as a storyline where the defectors came back to FLI to wreck it and it would have allowed 1) To have a run of shows for charities 2) Build up the mish-mash of rookies and sophomores that were staying behind after everyone else had left. That would have made HUGE business. Everybody that left agreed to that, so that was cool. But Jacques took it as a sign was KO (and everybody else) was crawling back to him, and his reaction was to tell KO that, no, he didn't want him back and that nodody that left him would make it without him. And then he called us all the guys to tell them same. So it didn't happen.
- Maybe 6 months ago, a kid got crippled wrestling his buddy in his backyard. Sad story we hear way too often. Jacques ran a fundraiser. Nice thing to do, right? Yeah. But, showing he reads Stephanie McMahon's twitter, he made damn sure the press knew about it. Philanthropy is how brands will win in the future or whatever that said. He was there to take pictures with the kid, and tell the stories about how he was the kid's favourite wrestler (the kid probably never saw him wrestle...) and generally talk about himself in a self-aggrandizing manner like he's the greatest guy ever.
- When Kurt Lauderdale killed Shanna, Jacques primary concern seemed to be what the effect would be on his business that a Rougeau Gym graduate murdered a girl.
- Pushed his sons into wrestling. JJ left Quebec to live in Australia because he wanted room to breathe (and became a hippie. Seriously he looks like Jesus now. He is talking of a return to wrestling but I don't think it would be for his dad, which would be SO awesome.)
- The one that cares is Cedric. Jacques sees the potential in him, it's fairly obvious to see. But he will try to milk the boy's value for all he's worth. When he says that WWE won't get him for nothing, that they'll have to pay to get him and then pay him, that they won't "mess around with him like he's some jobber" and that he'll be his manager in the bigs, he means it. He would rather his son never wrestle for WWE than NOT getting all he wants for him.
- Promoters' Classic: False promises. "When WWE comes to town next time, you'll get a dark match!"
- Said on radio that he didn't want a pedophile to "play around with his kid" because he didn't want his kid enjoying it and turning gay. You better believe he did the crawl of shame tour for this one. Blamed it on his education and being involved in a "manly sport".
- By the way, you have had lots of gay stereotypes in FLI/Rougeau Family Wrestling over the years. In the 21st century.
- You don't see that many blacks or asians though.
- Middle-eastern characters are all terrorists. He wanted to make Isaac and Simon Shemin terrorists. Isaac & Simon Shemin are Syrian Jews raised in Israel. Simon took the terrorist character. Isaac fought it. He made him a gay stereotype.
- LuFisto got ribbed a lot by him for being a girl.
- All the girls that went through Rougeau Gym got ribbed. Some of them had big league potential. And he also fired all the girls when he decided he wanted to run a tumbling routine without punches and kicks (and boobs) and not a wrestling promotion. Because Girls = Vulgar, I don't know...
- Fired Eric Gracie for pot. It WAS his rule and he had all the right in the world to apply the rule. But that was in like 2004. Fired for pot in 2004?
- He made rookies and even more-so sophomores CRY by telling them how shitty they were, which sometimes they really were, but public humiliation wasn't neccessary.
I could write so much more.
