I wonder what source this comes from. Coliseum perhaps? There's nothing edited out that could be considered objectionable, it just really seems like it was cut for time. That's the thing. It was intact in the WM5 Videotape. Just not the DVD or Network I have the version from the 1997 box set and it's intact there too. I wonder if that WM1-15 box set from 1999 has that edit, because at least we could zero in on where it came from.

Oh, that's awesome. I'll have to give it a look when I get home. Thanks.

Like Mark Henry and many other gents I sure wish WWE Network didn't censor Mae Young's puppies.

The segment now shows the part that was removed on the 2005 Anthology DVD. The 1997 Collection version has the missing footage but shows it entirely from the hard camera instead of multiple angles. The 1999 Legacy edition just cuts out the entire Piper's Pit segment, skipping from the Rick Martel interview to Sean Mooney interviewing Donald Trump.

All the shows had the Attitude logo plastered on and were recorded in EP. Yikes.

Part of nostalgia when watching this stuff is def the original music. It is distracting to hear the rip off music and things like ECW guys having their WWF themes dubbed in.

All the edits are the reason I haven't bothered getting the network. One of the few things in entertainment that annoys the hell out of me. Give me a lesser quality original broadcast any day.

It depends on how pivotal the song was to the show. Like Survivor Series 2002's theme, "Always", to me was a big part of that show and the video package right before the Elimination Chamber was PERFECT to me. Like if they ever edit "Cult of Personality" from Punk, that would effect my interest. But like, editing "Bombshell" from the Dudleys, or "Walk Idiot Walk" from Christy Hemme doesn't bother me as much.

It bugs me when there's edits on relatively recent footage.
Triple H vs. Undertaker at Mania 27 comes to mind, because they KNEW the importance of having broadcasts free of distracting edits, and yet they just go ahead and use Metallica and Johnny Cash even thought it's going to get edited to shit later on.
And they didn't even dub over Taker with the Katy Perry song either.

The Network doesn't change how much I enjoy it. Thankful for what is there on the Network compared to the complete disaster we lived through with all the damn blurs on DVDs in the years prior.

The ECW music edits don't bug me a whole lot, since it's been many years since I've seen them. (I've seen one TNN show, and that was when I asked my dad to record the first episode for me. I can guarantee when the Network shows the roster intro part, you're not gonna hear "Bawitdaba" by Kid Rock.)

Almost zero. I mean, I'd rather have it all as it aired live, but it's either what we get now or the subscription is like $500 a month to pay fees.
If you're more concerned about what song a wrestlers comes out to than the actual match, you might wanna look up getting an iTunes account and maybe a bluetooth speaker. Then, Presto! your memories are intact.

Its annoying and I'm glad I kept my VHSs and DVDs because this kind of censorship should NOT be happening. WWE is a BILLION dollar company. Pay the freaking royalties!
Supposedly, it was cut at Prichard's request because it was embarrassing. Same reason why X-Pac Vs. Shane McMahon build-up from Wrestlemania XV was removed because it makes Shane look like a wuss.

The whole atmosphere and vibe it created was largely because of how Paul Heyman masterfully scored it. It could be argued no other wrestling promotion paid as much dutiful attention to its use of licensed (or unlicensed) music as ECW did.

I'm also very into music. So much so I worked in radio for years and headed several music departments. But Paul E. and I have very different tastes so that really doesn't play a factor.
Edit: I didn't mean to come off as my-music-is-better-than-your-music pretentious, just pointing out differences and clarifying a bit.

A lot of ECW music edited out but that's understandable due to royalties
