So far my favorite things from this are Foley halfheartedly accepting Shane's claim of no animosity between him and his sister/brother-in-law and Mick/Shane having a heart to heart as two guys who habitually jump off shit.

Mick is good but tries to get too much in.

I really wish Austin was the one doing this, because he would not have let the answer to the Steph and Triple H questions go that easy, and he probably would have brought up Shane being booked as an equal to Taker.

Mick Foley's adorable.

That wasn't bad. I wouldn't mind a bit more on the current stuff and a little less story time from Mick but good stuff.

I really enjoyed it! But, something tells me there's definitely a shark in the water when it comes to Shane and HHH's relationship.

I'd venture to guess that Shane and Hunter's relationship is just non-existent. They're probably cordial in family situations, but wouldn't ever associate under any other circumstance. People will definitely read into Shane's responses and body language in that series of questions as something much more than I'd assume.

Austin definitely would have done better than Mick, at least with guiding the show. I think Austin would have gotten more into Shane's backstage work, and at least had a better follow up to the Stephanie/HHH question. He probably would have asked how their professional relationship was and if they played a part into his resignation. Just judging from Vince wanting to shoulder the whole blame for the Montreal Screwjob, I think Vince also wanted to take the heat for Shane leaving WWE, even though it possibly had more to do with HHH/Stephanie. I will say it seemed pretty obvious from Shane's answer that HHH is not his favorite person. I am guessing he is cordial at family gatherings and professional with him at work, but certainly doesn't go out of his way to be personable with him.

They're not friends, don't hang out, there's tension there, but they're cordial with each other because of Vince, Steph, and their kids. Shane wants his boys to have a relationship with Stephanie and her daughters, and Stephanie wants her girls to have a relationship with Shane and his boys. Outside of that, they don't hang out or anything like that.

My favorite part was Shane telling everybody that Bret got one punch on his Dad in the jaw (who got a black eye out of it...)

Shane seemed flippant about his answers around Stephanie and Hunter but you can tell there's something simmering there with Triple H. Summerslam is going to be Hunter vs Shane and the build/promo work is going to be very interesting.

Shane and Trips have obviously butted heads creatively at least. Maybe he feels Vince treats him more like a son also.

Oh come on, Bret had no problem dropping it in Canada, he didn't want to drop it to HBK in Canada. The place wasn't the problem, the guy was. Had he been asked to drop it to Shamrock, Foley, Austin, Kane, Taker, or Vader, he would have did it. Yeah, I think even in Have a Nice Day, Foley said Bret offered some or all of those guys as suggestions. Given he was still working for them, I can't imagine Mick would be going out of his way to make Vince look like the dick in the scenario, even with Bret being a friend, and being even handed with Vince's case in the scenario, anyhow.

People will definitely read into Shane's responses and body language in that series of questions as something much more than I'd assume. The way I figure, Sheane's been gone for years doing his whole thing, since before he left, his shouting matches with Vince were the stuff of legend, so he was probably already chafing under the pressure of being there. While he was gone, Triple H and Vince had their own dynamics shifting, with Vince having his people like Dunn or his hirings, like Vickie when she was there, and Triple H has amassed his own over time. Coming back into that, even if Shane and Triple H were bestest buddies, and I'm sure even at the best of times they weren't, there's going to be even less room than when he left, it's one more presence in a complicated structure, especially since I guess Shane would be a de facto Vince guy. Vickie Guerrero said there was no animosity between her and Triple H, for instance, but that she only ever really talked to him when she was leaving, since he mainly worked with his people, and Vince's worked with Vince.

Do people really think Austin would've done a more hard hitting interview? Cuz after the Vince one he's been pretty tame and doesn't really challenge his interview guest.

I like Foley in general but hated him as an interviewer. Any time Shane would start telling a story, Foley would cut him off to talk about himself. We know your stories, Mick. You have written four autobiographies and have been interviewed countless times. I wanted to hear the opinions of someone we pretty much never hear them from.

Mick Foley cutting loose and being himself in a podcast like Austin, JR, Flair, and Jericho do would be good. This was boring though. Why did they call it a podcast when it literally was not a podcast in any fashion?
