Our other Long National Nightmare is finally over. Probably too late to save Kat Denning's career, but one can hope.

The CW has cancelled freshman dramas Frequency and No Tomorrow. FOX has cancelled Rosewood after two seasons. ABC has picked up American Idol for the 2017-18 season. If you're a fan of either Frequency or No Tomorrow, CW was cool enough to give them brief codas to wrap up the storylines. io9.gizmodo.com/frequency-and-no-tomorrow-get-series-end-epilogues-inc-1795201873I didn't watch Frequency that closely when I was airing it, but I've got to admit, they got me with that. I like when a channel will give a show a chance to wrap it's storylines, no matter if they're afterthoughts.

They'll be having Amazing Races until the end of time. And even then, they'll just do a season where contestants travel through time.

CBS has renewed The Amazing Race and Elementary. The Great Indoors has been cancelled. Elementary being renewed is good. The Great Indoors being canceled is a bit of a shame, although I haven't watched the second half of this season, so maybe it started to suck.

Why are people so happy 2 Broke Girls got cancelled? No one was making you watch it when it was on, so what's the difference? Also, reruns will still come on. Every time a show you don't enjoy gets cancelled presents a chance for a show you might enjoy to replace it. That would have made sense before cable existed. Now we have a billion channels, streaming services, online shows, etc. No matter what you like, in today's world there is already stuff out there for you.

Now we have a billion channels, streaming services, online shows, etc. No matter what you like, in today's world there is already stuff out there for you. Having a wide variety of choice doesn't change whether or not most people want to see more options they enjoy. Viewers are greedy, and no matter what they like they always want something "better" to replace the things they don't like.

I kinda feel bad for Joel and Stephen Fry over the cancellation of The Great Indoors, but it's because I like them. The show was garbage, another "hurr durr millenials are different from us smart older people who know how the mail works" premise wrapped around tired, unfunny jokes.
Honestly, there's a lot of terrible shows getting canned this year, and I couldn't be happier to see them go.

Each time I hear about Joel McHale, I wish that The Soup was still on.

I watched the first episode of The Odd Couple and...it wasn't that bad. But it was Two and a Half Men minus the half...and if Jon Cryer was gay. There, that cleanses me from actually shitting all over a remake before giving it a try. But since it was opposed with Raw, I didn't watch any more.

NBC has renewed Trial And Error for a second season. Renew this, but cancel Chicago Justice. Interesting.

So happy to see Trial and Error renewed, I figured it would be cancelled for sure. Best new comedy in ages.

Better/worse than The New Odd Couple with Demond Wilson and Ron Glass?
