HHH on FB... - HHH jokes NXT is no more. - NXT is now a full blown brand per HHH... Well nothing new there. - HHH not crazy about Andrade's entrance gear either. - AA/Revival will keep revolutionising tag team wrestling. They are destined to fight for a while still. - HHH feigns ignorance of the Ellering/AOP deal. - Aries & Nakamura is an exemple of why NXT is the place to be. - Bobby Roode too. - He says that Nia Jax pushed Asuka on the defense. Says Asuka has been in the ring 15 times longer than Nia Jax, and this says a lot. He says that he knows things, and that NXT's women's division is about to get very interesting. - Samoa Joe is really hitting his stride, he is NXT Champion. He is NXT. Talk about Balor and the pressure of being champ, how the odds are against you. Identifies SHINSUKE NAKAMURA as proeminent challenger to Joe. Just quoting myself. Report of HHH's FB interview.

Some how I started 4 minutes behind despite jumping in before even the pre-show and it only got worse around the tag title match where it kept stuttering.
Anyway, on to the matches: Tye v. Cien: Not a good debut for Almas. Gear was weird and I hate the seeing a guy getting a hyped debut struggling with a guy that has won 2 matches in 6 months. I like Tye but that just doesn't work, IMO. Far from the end of the world though.
American Alpha vs. Revival: HOLIEST OF HOLY SHITS! I loved this match. Jesus they delivered and more. Not sure I like Alpha losing the belts but it seems they'll be battling their way back starting with the Authors of Pain. Would have loved to see Alpha v. Revival in a 2 out of 3 falls match on top of TO:BrooklynII. Hoping Ellering's arrival also signals a deal for his daughter.
Nakamura v. Aries: Aries finally delivered but if he if he was in there with Nakamura and didn't, well, Welcome back to TNA, sug. I was really hoping for Roode to debut and help Aries setting them together as heels that think they are better than NXT.
Asuka v. Nia: Weird match. Didn't get the Nia win I wanted and she looked like crap until standing up to Asuka before getting KTFO. How out the 4 cousins of Rock, she is one that cannot get pushed?
Joe v. Balor: Decent but I hate escape the cage, it defeats the whole f***ing point of locking two people in a cage. Loved seeing this end with the Super Musclebuster. Also, I know they don't mean it that way but there is something....weird...about a pale Irish lad painting his upper body black with giant white teeth in an attempt to scare his opponent.
Oh, and see people Roode isn't as dumb as James Storm, paperwork and Wellness testing takes time, especially when one party to it all is the federal govt..

I was legitimately amazed that I got good enough phone service tonight to stream the last hour and 45 minutes on my phone in HD with no stutters at all. I missed most of the first match because my wifi or PS4 was ducking around.
But god damn it was another great show. That tag team match was amazing amazing stuff, and Nia gave Asuka a great challenge and continues to look more and more legitimate. Nakamura is next level shit. Dude's a f***ing alien. Aries had his best match to date, and the main event was Finn and Joe's best encounter.
Loved it. Then again I've loved every Takeover, so I'm not surprised.

Hate to say it, but really liking Andrade's theme song.
And noticing that the voice in it actually says "LA SOMBRA" at one point.

As usual, bad Takeovers by Takeover standards still are like a 7/10 which is pretty damn good. That's what I said too. But I'm worried about the overall trajectory. We'll see what Brooklyn brings.

Not a fan of Andrade's entrance gear. Love his theme, though.

In case anyone missed the show (like me), it's on Hulu now.

Dillinger vs Almas: Not impressed by Almas. He looked Indyriffic in the worst way. Awful gear, Awful finisher. Everything about him screams "Late 90s jobber that has a lot of matches on Heat/Jakked" Dillinger has a great connection with the crowd but he seems lacking something to me. He is kinda bland in-ring.
AA vs The Revival: Very good match! Jason Jordan is a hugh star in the making and I want Dash and Dawson to team forever. I do feel that Gable needs some work though. His offence looks weak. His striking looks weak. And he needs to put on some mass. Those two small details would make him look 100% better. His mat wrestling is already second to none.
Aries vs Nakamura: WOW. That is all. Both guys looked AMAZING.
Jax vs Asuka: I was kinda burnt out after the prevoius two matches so I couldn't focus on this. Am gonna need to re-watch it.
Joe vs Balor: Lacked a clear identity. I would have liked to have seen more of an old-school cage match. Just two guys brawling and using the cage, capped off with one big spot. Kinda like Backlund vs Snuka. They convuluted the match with too much stuff.
All in all. A top class event!

Between American Alpha introducing ankle locks into their act and the fact they're feuding with a tandem led by a legend, Takeover: The End has me itching that we'll hear "Medal" ring out throughout Brooklyn as we collectively shit our pants.

That Nakamura/Aries match is my MOTY so far. Not a dull moment, neither man gave any quarter, and Austin's ego cost him.
Just fantastic stuff!
