So no face Shield vs heel Bullet Club any time soon, huh. Absolutely terrible idea until Ambrose gets his revenge over Rollins. Funny thing for all the love Seth got, he's still the guy who tried to murder Dean and Edge.

WWE knew Seth was going to get a hero's welcome in his return so it more than makes sense to have him attack Roman for multiple reasons. First because Roman is holding the title he lost due to injury. Second because Rollins was feuding with Roman before he got put on the sidelines. Third because Reigns is in shades of grey/tweener mode, attacking him will get the babyface pop Seth was going out of the way and plant seeds of the eventual alignment shifts of both. But we still got the storyline of Ambrose being tight with Roman and blood enemy with Seth to fix before going there.

Seth goes face because people hate Roman, Roman goes heel douchebag and Dean goes heel due to insanity/hates Seth/protects Roman from Seth?

Because I really thought this AJ feud would do that and... nope.

They wasn't going to do it with the AJ feud because the bigger story was does AJ return to his Evil Ways with Gun & Gallows or remain face. It's either a double turn when Roman vs Rollins happen or the shocking turn on Dean Amborse.

It's only fair. AJ killed himself in that match so someone needed to pay Roman back

Because honestly, I'm looking at these results and getting flashbacks of Cena's rise. A lot of other people are saying the Roman turn is coming, but...like...how long did people say that with Cena? If he doesn't, and I really don't expect him to, we're going to have multiple years of the immersion-breaking shit of Roman getting booed and beating fan-favorites while the chuckleheads tell the viewing audience that the paying customers in the arena are nuts. Granted I'd actually agree with that, just not in the way they'd probably mean.

At the very least, that FalconArrow guy on Reddit posted before the Raw after WrestleMania that Seth was going to end up as a face when he came back. Granted, things could've changed 500,000 times between then and now, but they were apparently thinking it.

Because half of the fanbase loved Cena and bought the tickets to see him and his merch in tons. And the other half hated him and bought tickets just to boo him. Either way, it made WWE money. Roman on the other hand is not being asked to carry the company and WWE can do a heel turn without a drop off in business.

I think a lot of what they did is have Cena (albeit to their chagrin at first) be their #1 face and constantly do whatever they have to to make that decision be the right one. What you're saying does make sense if WWE was foremost about making the money and Cena just happened to be the guy who made the most of it... But I always thought it wasn't enough for the WWE to make money, they have to make money while being proven their way was the right way to make money...even if that means setting your company back for years. ...and I still don't think people buy tickets just to express their open hatred of someone. I mean, I'm sure telling John Cena he sucks was an added benefit but... Eh, whatever. For the Roman turn I guess everyone will have to WAIT AND SEE.

I've always been a big fan of early Nitro, pre-NWO Lex Luger - generally a heel, but would always stick up for his best friend Sting. I say they go the opposite way with Dean. Keep him as a face, but make it clear that his friendship with Roman comes first.

Just give Ambrose the MITB and you can ride out the Shield and the title until WM.

I'd rather prefer to see the Shield three way at Summerslam instead of Reigns/Cena or whatever
Why drag it out for so long until people are sick of them fighting each other individually?
