It's times like these I wish that Dailymotion was bigger and a viable option for these companies, but without ad revenue it's just not feasible.
I just hope that wrestling as a whole can rebound from this and the ad revenue can return.

Also, the second it got any way bigger, companies would be handing copyright strikes like freebees at a comic book convention.

No idea about now,but 3 years ago daily motion paid better than YouTube. Had a buddy be stupid and got his YT account suspended,so he moved over to daily motion. He made more off daily motion in his first 5 months there than he had in 2 years on YouTube. The drawback is everyone knows about YouTube but not as many know about daily motion.

I've ragged on them at times but that genuinely does suck for their growth. People can rag on others for using Patreon or going to a subscription format for stuff but you can't blame YouTubers or even actual businesses for taking these models if YouTube's going to throw the baby with the bathwater every time an issue like this comes up, one that honestly, they caused themselves. Heck, it's even affecting the WWE at this point. It can't be a coincidence that their social media division lost money in the last quarter with all this going down. Yeah someone showed what WWE could monetize on Youtube when they did their recent messing with ads... and it was like 2 videos. Youtube's recent change basically screwed everyone.

So...WCPW Fight Back has been pulled from YouTube, msupposedly for violating the policy on spam, deceptive practices and scams.
Well, that's a thing, I expect the blowup any minute now.

I didn't think they uploaded it all already (only saw the speech Blampied did concerning the restrictions) but if that's the case, if someone flagged that stuff up, what kind of asshole would do that and if YouTube's bots caught it, the hell would have even brought them to do that?

Here's a promo cut before the Fight Back show (which I guess isn't part of the show itself, but it is on the WCPW YouTube channel so it can be easily shared) about the whole advertising situation.
Language Warning (because of some random "f*** YouTube chants)

A lot of speculation that the strike/removal was for using a parody of the YT logo as a part of the logo for the event. I guess making people think the show was tied to Google/YT for some reason. That is just speculation based on the category they got pulled for.

That is just speculation based on the category they got pulled for. Random channels have been getting hit with that. Linkara's entire channel was pulled recently for that reason, despite never having any other strikes he basically complained to YT over an entire weekend before it was restored.

For clarification I do not believe Linkara had any Youtube parody logo on his channel when it was flagged for spam, deceptive practices and scams. But that is what his entire channel was hit for some reason.

Overall, though, especially considering the point of the entire event, doesn't make YouTube look great right now. I mean, they don't usually look great but still.

Christ, YouTube is the f***ing worse. I hate that wrestling isn't a big enough thing that, if everyone picked up and went to a different platform, YT would have to reconsider it's policies. As it stands, it really does feel like they're petty and now have a legit axe to grind with pro wrestling.

It's easier to shove wrestling and consider it problematic content with other stuff because it'll make advertisers happy (it won't because it isn't what the advertisers had a problem with) than to actually come up with solutions that prevent these things from happening again. It's them not realising, for example, how much WWE is watched by people around the world and such, which won't make them want to do very much and take a bit of credibility away from YouTube overall.

Absolutely. And what kills me is, advertisers rush to something like MMA because it's the hot thing now, and look down at wrestling and say they don't want to do business with them, yet MMA, to me at least, is by far a more dangerous a sport than wrestling is, but yeah, let's keep blaming wrestling for being adult content and take away money from smaller feds trying to survive. It's so hypocritical to the point of being sickened by it. I really would like to see the numbers behind all of this, what YouTube considers adult content and thus deserves to be locked out from monetization. If, say, a website constantly posts tons of footage of people getting into fistfights, then yeah, they shouldn't be getting money from that. But if it still was, and wrestling wasn't, then we'd have problems.

Language Warning (because of some random "f*** YouTube chants) It really is garbage. This Youtube nonsense has hit a lot of people in a lot of ways that I enjoy the content of. But it really has to suck for those like these guys that have a legitimate company that at least partially was depending on the income it was getting from Youtube that it isn't anymore. If something doesn't change, I can't imagine they can keep the promotion going for much longer.

So now I'm back to ragging on WCPW for their booking. I just checked what happened at Fight Back and... {Spoiler} El Ligero joined The Prestige. Because if there's one thing that stable needed is another person who shouldn't be in there.

Looks like the appeal worked -- strike removed and live-streaming abilities are back.
