How lame does PBR look by tweeting that? "Please stop with the free publicity. We can be an 8th string beer on our own thank you." It's not free publicity if the shirt uses their fonts/styles without promoting or even naming Pabst at all. I don't know whether it could be considered a parody, but the similarities are there.

Jesus. If PBR is really gonna throw a hissy over a Cena shirt make sure no one tells any major brand about prowrestlingtees.com
Every single shirt on that site is a rip off of another logo.
Bobby Roode has a Baskin Robbins shirt. I WISH I WAS KIDDING!

I don't know why people think Pabst Blue Ribbon is in need of advertising. They may not advertise a lot, but they do get very good business. So does Coke, but they still spend a shitload on advertising. Why spend on advertising when you are doing great? Pabst Blue Ribbon is like many breweries who are doing fine that don't advertise

I hate Cena and even I think PBR are F***ing dorks for tweeting that with a Middle Finger emoji no less.
This is why Jimmy Johns is superior to you.

Pabst Blue Ribbon is like many breweries who are doing fine that don't advertise Because they can always do better. Since we are talking Beers. Bud and Bud Light are like the #1 and #3 best selling beer in America... with Coors Light as #2. They are also the ones that get a ton of advertising because brand awareness goes a long way.

Confession Time: I thought Pabst Blue Ribbon was a beer that South Park created for that White Trash In Trouble episode for the longest time.
I just wonder the thought process of them being okay with that, as that is actively doing harm to the product and insulting those who purchase it, but this makes them throw a hissy fit.

So that shirt gets pulled but this is still on PWT ![](http://www.prowrestlingtees.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/c/a/candice1011.png) Literally tracing over disney characters to change them slightly. On top of it? Its horrifying!!

I think if this wasn't based on a beer logo, WWE would have kept it up. They didn't want to deal with both the PBR mess and the inevitable mess that comes with marketing a shirt based on that logo to kids.

How many shirts do prowrestling tees actually sell though? I would imagine Cena makes thousands and thousands of dollars off his merch.

Can do, if you're far enough below the radar big companies won't take any notice. Like how Taz was fine in ECW but had to become Tazz to avoid legal problems in WWF.

1) PBR has to protect their property. If they allow one guy to run with their logo, there's a case to be made to allow others.
2) PBR gains nothing from this. WWE won't mention PBR; the hero of the children John Cena sure as hell isn't going to extol the value of Pabst Blu Ribbon. WWE, however, will make money off smarks who can't wait to get the ironic John Cena PBR shirt.

Surely legal teams from companies would be more concerned with WWE making thousands of dollars from ripping something off rather than prowrestlingtees selling 100 parody Lilo and Stitch t shirts.

We don't know that PBR actually sent them any legal letter. It's possible PBR simply meant the tweet as a joke, even if they were kind of annoyed at that shirt. It's possible WWE took it upon themselves just to cancel the shirt since it was in the beginning stages. It wasn't actually reported that PBR did send them a cease and desist letter.
