Who in the brand split era did you think of as Raw superstars and who did you think of as Smackdown Superstars, and who did you think of as both?
For me:
John Cena- Both, while he spent over a decade on Raw, his rise to super stardom on Smackdown was a pretty major part of the show Randy Orton- Raw Edge- Smackdown, but was also an important part of Raw in some aspects Triple H- Raw Undertaker- Smackdown HBK- Raw Kurt Angle- Smackdown Eddie Guerrero- Smackdown Rey Mysterio- Smackdown Chris Jericho- Raw Batista- Smackdown, although he had important moments on Raw CM Punk- Both Brock Lesnar- Smackdown Goldberg- Raw

I always felt batista should of always stayed on raw. I don't know why just never seemed to fit on Smackdown for some reason

Kurt for SmackDown immediately sprung to mind. I know he was on Raw for a while but for me he's so associated with the early years of the brand split that he's just a SmackDown guy.

Jeff Hardy for Smackdown. He could never seem to be a big star on Raw, he was the guy on Smackdown for a short time.

Triple H, and later Cena, had such a stranglehold on Raw during the brand split that it was pretty much impossible for anyone else to become a big star there. Had the Smackdown Six been on Raw, they probably would've been buried six feet beneath the earth.

Batista- Smackdown, although he had important moments on Raw His most important moments were on Raw with Evolution and the break up to become the champion.

Goldust- Raw.
Kind of has to be- of everyone drafted in the original 2002 Draft, Goldust was the last person to truly DEFECT from the original brand that drafted them (even though Goldust had left the WWE a couple times, when he returned to WWE each time, he was back on the Raw roster. It wasn't until his trade to ECW in 2009 that he joined a different brand.

Out of everyone who switched between the two, Edge is the only one who to me had just as much significance as a top guy to both brands. On RAW he grew into the Rated R persona and solidified himself as a top guy with that awesome Cena rivalry. Then he jumped to SmackDown, and basically became an entertaining version of JBL and had great feuds with everyone.

I loved how Taker was a staple of SD through the years even though nearly every draft RAW would raid all the guys SD had built up and then SD would get sent all the guys RAW had wasted.

The only two I can think of to never jump brands during the whole brand extension are Undertaker for Smackdown and Shawn Michaels for Raw.

Taker was originally drafted to Raw. that's what this was in reference to. He lost the WWE Title to The Rock and took his place on Smackdown. He was still on Raw until the Smackdown after SummerSlam. He had a match with Test at the PPV, lost to Triple H on Raw, then jumped to Smackdown and won a match to become #1 contender to Brock's title.
