Here's a scary Copa America fact. As of this posting, the US and Brazil have scored the same number of goals this tournament...
Edit: So much for that, but also LOL HAITI SCORED!!!

Brazil 7-1 Haiti.
Familiar scoreline there for Brazil. Philippe Coutinho with a neat hat-trick.
Ecuador 2-2 Peru.
Peru throw away a 2-goal lead and a chance to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Uruguay 0-1 Venezuela
As unlikely as it appeared before this tournament, Venezuela are on the verge of making the quarter-finals.
Mexico 2-0 Jamaica
That settles Group C, with Venezuela and Mexico progressing.

It's Euro Day!!!!
This is to inspire England, before their inevitable quarter final exit, on penalties.

2-0 France tonight to get us underway. Can't wait.
Here's for a fantastic tournament with loads of goals and exciting football.
Hopefully a few suprise teams to upset the odds too.

I'd love it if a surprise winner like Iceland or Albania won the whole damn thing.

Buzzing for the Euros to start tonight, even if my country (Scotland) didn't make it past the qualifiers.
I'm predicting France to beat Romania 2-1 tonight and a French victory in the final overall.
Hopefully be a great tournament. Managed to swap my shift tomorrow so I'll be able to catch both the Wales v Slovakia game and the England v Russia game.

I don't follow football a lot but this and the World Cup are two I like to watch. I'm cautiously optimistic about our chances. I just hope our players can focus on football for five minutes rather than on being assholes.

Not looking forward to putting up with ITV for the next month but hey I'm pretty excited for the tournament. Really cool that 4 of the 5 home nations are there too.
Don't really know a lot about Romania know they were in Northern Ireland's qualifying group but don't know if they can spring a surprise tonight. Doubt they have footballers as good as Hagi, Petrescu etc were though. France have some scary attacking options available so should be interesting.

If History is anything to go by, France are usually pretty good on their own turf
Euro 1984 and World Cup 1998 both hosted and won by France.
Obviously want England to do well.
But would love a team like Wales or even Iceland to surprise this tournament.
It's still a pretty big shocker that The Dutch are absent from this one, bet that's a tough pill to swallow.

I have England, Spain, Germany and France in my final four.
France beats Spain in the final.
Ronaldo claims the Golden Boot.

Predictions
Semi-finals: Belgium v Spain, Germany v France
Germany beat Spain to win it.
England go out on penalties to Belgium in the QF. Belgium to look completely unimpressive while getting to the semis.

Hopefully it's a good tournament and I have a sneaky feeling Czechs Rep or Belgium might win it. Obviously want England to do well but they will inevitably let me down as usual.
Have Ukraine in my office sweepstake, I doubt I'll be winning anything with them.

Bit of a sluggish start for the hosts right now. Wonder if it's opening day nerves?

Bit of a sluggish start for the hosts right now. Wonder if it's opening day nerves? Frankly, that's been an issue for at least a decade. We play it too safe, we don't take enough risks to create opportunities and to make things worse, we don't have the defence to support this style of play so we always just barely scrap by.

At least the attack is doing well when they get an opportunity. Girous always seems to be perfectly placed.

I fancy Germany to win it. Spain are not the same side of four years ago and Italy aren't good enough. If not Germany then I feel it will be France.
As for surprise teams I feel either Austria or Croatia could go far.
I don't fancy England to go further than the Q/F, maybe S/F at best as I feel Roy Hodgson holds the side back.
I feel Wales will struggle to get out of their group but Northern Ireland could get past the group stages. They are on good form, 12 unbeaten and must be full of confidence.
As for us, we need a point at least against Sweden. Lose that and we are in trouble. Italy and Belgium have a history of under performing so if we're up for it and play well we can take points against both sides as we also have a history of putting it up to the bigger teams, however I'm still not confident we will get enough points from all three teams to qualify.
