Well with Pogba, he kinda is investing in their youth, since they let him go like idiots and now need this to get him back, didn't even sell him with a buy back clause when everyone knew he'd be a very good player at the very least. Well, didn't even sell him. His contract expired and he was free to go anywhere he pleased, and all because Fergie stuck with the old guard for one last season. That's what I mean, they just let it go, if they didn't want him, sell him for peanuts 6 months before but with a clause because everyone at the club knew he'd eventually be a star, other players, coaches etc. he just wanted too much at that specific time. It's like Chelsea with Lukaku, where they've been pursuing a guy they actually had and put themselves through unnecessary effort later.

IAN HOLLOWAY
why doesn't england pick him to be their manager?
why not, it's still better than apparently going for another semi-loser!

Don't get me wrong, I like Holloway but other than winning the Championship play-offs once, he never really did anything as a Manager.

Sunderland can't keep managers even when they actually want to.

I keep hearing about how Allardyce has never won anything as a manager. What these people are completely overlooking is the fact that almost every season has been getting everything, and a lot more out of some average to poor teams.
I cant remember seeing too many players in a Sam Allardyce team go missing or shirk a challenge.

Yeah, Big Sam may not have any major trophies to his name, but taking Bolton into Europe, keeping that Bolton team a consistent top-six side, and keeping a Sunderland team that was dead and buried in the Premier League is as good an achievement as any.

And it's not like he's only managed lower level players, he can deal with big names like Campo and Okocha, which is a criticism of someone like Eddie Howe who has great potential for the future. He's also not the 1 dimensional negative footballer he's painted as, he may prefer caution, but he has used players with more flair when he's had access to them.

I particularly remember the Bolton team with Campo, Okocha, Diouff, Speed, Stelios, and later Anelka being pretty easy on the eye. Hell, his final season with West Ham had them playing some decent football.

I know they survived in the end and maybe I'm biased as a Newcastle fan but I saw Sunderland play many, many times last season and all I can say is I won't be tuning into many England matches in the near future.

Considering the bang average résumés of some of the past few managers that England have hired, Allardyce is more than experienced enough to be the manager of the national team.
The question is whether or not he can actually get some of those lazy bastards on the team up for games and tournaments in the future.

Allardyce is expected to be named England manager in the next 24 hours.

As someone who's a FC Porto fan since birth, having read the news that Julen Lopetegui is the new Spanish Head Coach made me do this:

It's official, Big Sam is England manager, appointed on a two-year contract.
