Johnny Williams showing his quality there in those moments when he had the ball. Was fouled for Bale's goal and then got elbowed in the head by Skrtel, which could've been a penalty. I think you mean "should've". It was blatant and red card worthy too.

Wales 2-1 Slovakia
Slovakia came back strong in the 2nd half, and got the equaliser, but Wales snuck one late on and won it. Could already be enough to see Wales through to the Round of 16.

Whenever I see the Russian coach's name (Leonid Slutsky) I can help but think it's the kind of name Cena would use to call Lana in one of his "edgy" promos.

Sigh, now to ITV and their band of cretins. Ian Wright and Glenn Hoddle are just insufferable. At least Lee Dixon is decent. Thank Christ Adrian Chiles isn't around any more. Although BBC do have Robbie Savage and Alan Shearer to bump up the required number of cretins on the broadcast team.

I did have issues with Shearer as a pundit (namely because I felt he stated the obvious rather then add insight) but personally I thought he was great last year in how blunt and honest he was, especially when it came to talking about Newcastle. Savage is ok in small doses, but certainly not as a colour commentator.

I love the Russian national anthem, solely thanks to Nikolai Volkoff.

Russia has been absolutely playing on their heels almost the entire match, England has completely outclassed them so far but can't capitalize on some giftwrapped chances through 30...

England dominating Russia, but no breakthrough. Akinfeev is having quite a game.

Halftime, and it is an absolute Miracle that Russia is still dead even with England 0-0
England's gotta be frustrated with that, so many opportunities and they couldn't capitalize on any of them, and Russia is taking advantage of the screw-ups. Can't believe this one is still deadlocked... England just can't catch a break in these Tournaments lately...

England 1-1 Russia
England somehow throw that away right at the last minute.

England were great tonight. Really positive play. A good draw to start the tourney. Should have played Vardy seeing how high a line Russia played. The biggest problem we have is the fans moaning/groaning/fighting.

Huge disappointment considering the performance for the first 75 minutes. Once Wilshire came on for Rooney England stepped down a gear and let Russia back into the game.
Sterling was poor again. Full of running, but he's still got no end product.

Kane was awful. Then again, when you put him in on corners and he's meant to be your main 6-foot striker, that's kind of what happens.
Also, when your opponent is playing high to chase the game, is it not logical to put Vardy on considering he's amazing at counterattacking to try and put the game away?
Decisions like that now have Wales at the top of the group. Bale and Ramsey were both fantastic.

Where is the security in the stadium? Flares were thrown after the England scored from English fans and then, at full time, Russian fans charged at England fans. You'd think they wouldn't allow a single thing to be out of place after November.

Kane was awful. Then again, when you put him in on corners and he's meant to be your main 6-foot striker, that's kind of what happens. I thought he was solid throughout, but he really shouldn't be taking corners. Almost all of them either went long or out of play. Also, when your opponent is playing high to chase the game, is it not logical to put Vardy on considering he's amazing at counterattacking to try and put the game away? I'd have brought Vardy on around the hour mark when the Russian defence started to look tired, as well as putting Bertrand on for Sterling, pushing Rose forward. The few times Sterling actually got into a good position he checked back onto his right foot, giving the Russians time to get back into position.
