I spoke with Duane Gill and Barry Hardy today at the Legends of the Ring convention about this. They told me that the article got the name of their team wrong. They were actually called the Toxic Turtles. It was inspired by the combination of Toxic Avenger and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I thought it was worth mentioning.

Brian was The Wrestling Turtle in Smokey Mountain.

I just read in a Spring 1993 Observer that they were called Tommy and Timmy, and they worked one of the TV Tapings following Wrestlemania 9. Probably about 2 years after the Turtles were really relevant
