Quite frankly, hours 2 and 3 of tonight's RAW in New Orleans are getting KILLED, as they're up against Game 5 of the NBA Finals, a game that the Golden State Warriors can clinch the title in - but Hour 1 is unopposed, and as we're at the go-home show for Sunday's Money in the Bank PPV in Las Vegas, what's the betting WWE crams all the big stuff into the first hour?
One thing we know is happening tonight is that The Shield will share the ring - WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, and his challenger this Sunday, Seth Rollins, will be the guests on the now-uncancelled Ambrose Asylum, hosted by Dean Ambrose. Ambrose is involved in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match this Sunday, so he has an interest in who the champion may be. Reigns has yet to get his hands on Rollins since the surprise attack at Extreme Rules, will tonight be the night, or will The Shield somehow resolve all their differences and reunite? Somehow I doubt THAT...
Ambrose had also beware if any of his five opponents in the Ladder Match intervene, and he should especially be wary of Kevin Owens, who came out of SmackDown with major momentum, beating Cesaro and Sami Zayn, AND turning on Alberto Del Rio. And Chris Jericho will always want his say too. Who heads to Las Vegas with the wind in his sails, with the chance at a guaranteed title shot on the line?
John Cena got involved to even the score when AJ Styles and The Club took out Xavier Woods in last week's RAW main event. Styles insists on having Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows around to prevent him from being "buried" as another failed opponent of Cena - he's all set to prove himself on Sunday, as Cena has pointed out Styles' failures since joining WWE, including the Royal Rumble, Chris Jericho at WrestleMania, and the failed challenge of Roman Reigns for the title. Will Cena have a trick up his sleeve, knowing AJ will count on his two Good Brothers?
Karl and Luke will also have a four way match for the WWE Tag Team Championship this Sunday, as they challenge The New Day alongside Enzo & Big Cass and The Vaudevillains. The New Day have been champions since SummerSlam, and have ruled the tag team division with a mighty unicorn horn and two trombones, one sadly deceased. Will one of the three new teams on the scene overthrow them this Sunday?
Rusev is set to defend the United States Title against Titus O'Neil on Sunday in Las Vegas. O'Neil is determined to battle in the name of the United States of America, and capture the title from the Bulgarian Brute - will Rusev antagonise America any more tonight?
Charlotte has re-evaluated her position when it comes to her father, Ric Flair - she's only done with him professionally, and doesn't really hope he dies. Still, the Women's Champion and her ally Dana Brooke are making life difficult for Becky Lynch and Natalya, although Lynch did score a win over Brooke on SmackDown last week. Will these four finally meet in Las Vegas this Sunday?
All this, and a lot of fluff packed into the last two hours, tonight on USA from 8/7c!
