It also led to this:
At least TNA can poke fun at itself.

I'm not even sure if I liked what I just watched or not, but Matt totally reminded me of a magic powered super villain. I was waiting for him to say something about conquering Earth and then start shooting fireballs out of his hands or something.

He's going full batshit Nick Cage isn't he? To refer to my post in another thread I still insist that it IS Nic Cage. The real Matt Hardy actually was crippled in that match, and he paid to have his face switched with Nic Cage to take over for him and gain his revenge.

It's absolutely cringeworthy. I can't imagine showing it to anyone (wrestling fan or not) without them finding it weird or stupid.

Matt and Jeff are basically TNA personified. A crazy, non-sensical entity that is somehow still around.

Matt and Jeff are basically TNA personified. A crazy, non-sensical entity that is somehow still around. If anything, Matt and Jeff should be an inspiration to all crazy people anywhere. Being COMPLETELY BATSHIT INSANE isn't a barrier to making money (even if they aren't making any in TNA, at least Matt made enough in WWE to buy a fairly nice house and a buttload of land).

As someone who doesn't watch TNA on a regular basis, I would like to ask a regular TNA viewer what is going on. But, I doubt anyone who has been regularly following this feud could fully explain just what is going on with this shitshow of a feud.
And, I mean "shitshow" in the nicest way possible.

He lost his title against Drew Galloway, after a match featuring EC3 and Jeff Hardy. Two weeks later, he had his title match, but again in a losing effort. Angry with Jeff for it, he wanted an I Quit Match and had it after defeating Jeff and Drew Galloway in a tag team match. At the main event, an I Quit Match, the match eventually ended up in a no-contest as both Matt and Jeff were badly injured and Matt was taken out to the hospital on a stretcher, ending the show. Hardy returned on May 17 episode of Impact Wrestling, revealing himself to be one of the impostor Willows behind the attacks on his brother Jeff. He would later attack Jeff at after that episode's main event, pushing him off the turnbuckle when he was attempting the Swanton Bomb on Mike Bennett. In the following weeks, Hardy would debut a new persona as a disheveled man with a Shakespearean accent, blaming Jeff (who he began to refer to as "Brother Nero") for breaking him. At Slammiversary Matt was defeated by Jeff in a Full Metal Mayhem match. Matt was also defeated by Jeff in a Six Sides of Steel match on the June 21 edition of Impact Wrestling. On the June 28 episode, Matt challenged Jeff to a final battle with the Hardy brand on the line, to take place at their home in Cameron, NC the next week, ending with Matt attacking Jeff. Also there were multiple Willows and one was a Willow in a flesh body suit.

How many and how long? BTW, that bit lost its novelty when it was fake Stings and never got better. 2) Why was Matt angry at Jeff over losing his title again? Was that actually explained? 3) I follow the "breaking" aspect of the character development, but if you want to sell a feud it cannot be one sided. You've just described a non-stop string of losses on Matt's part. It's not that I expect Matt to come out on top in a feud with Jeff (especially as the heel), but no one cares about one-sided feuds unless it is a scrappy face going after a monster heel. Hell, even the WWE treated a Matt/Jeff feud better (Jeff won last, but Matt won most. They got 3 PPV matches in a row that way without getting too overdone.)

Losing heels are fine in the lower card. Matt just lost the title and Jeff is Jeff, so this should be treated as an upper level feud. You know, the type you are trying to actually make money off of? Losing heels don't sell tickets or attract viewers. Upper card feuds are supposed to do that.
