I wonder if Darren will get any heat for pushing that ref? Titus will pull him aside, tell him what's wrong.

Enzo's clothesline to Cena couldn't even knock down constantly-falling over Maryse.

"Always here and always will be"
Cena's quote knocked the PPV down even more alone.

Up next, six man tag team action as The Club (#4 AJ Styles, #41 Karl Anderson and #46 Luke Gallows) versus #17 Big Cass, #20 Enzo Amore and #67 (Beat Up) John Cena! Cena is 67 on your list? LOL, trash. He's behind because of his late start to the year, due to injury. It makes sense. If it was a consistent yearly thing, he'd be higher.

The idea was that D-Young fully embraced the teachings of Backlund by losing his shit and going nuts like Bob would, even looking at his hands in shock after the adrenaline wore off. The problem was it was done about as poorly as possible and the crowd didn't care at all. It was such a Raw finish... not something for PPV. That wasn't even a Raw finish, that was a TNA finish.

Agreed, I liked the match build. Just really disappointed in the finish. Felt like the leg work was solid though. I was severely disappointed with the finish as well. I think the match was otherwise pretty decent. The finish did kill it, but the pacing wasn't a problem for me. In fact, they used to work a hell of a lot slower and sold more all the way until like 10 years ago (with the exception of the Cruiserweight division). I mean, look how slow they worked during the Attitude Era, which everyone claims to miss. They sold a lot more back then as well, and they were able to tell better stories because of it. Yup. I've started to realize I can dig a slow build if done properly. I thought the selling of the leg was awesome, but people were complaining in the room with me so I guess it's a preference thing. It was on a good pace for me, but yeah...could have used a little more towards the end and a not so quick finish.

It was such a Raw finish... not something for PPV. That wasn't even a Raw finish, that was a TNA finish. TNA would've ended with the roster coming out for a brawl.

Seriously, someone explain to me what the f*** that finish was. The idea was that D-Young fully embraced the teachings of Backlund by losing his shit and going nuts like Bob would, even looking at his hands in shock after the adrenaline wore off. The problem was it was done about as poorly as possible and the crowd didn't care at all. He should've held the submission on the outside long enough for a double countout.

So this show hit a wall after 9:30 just like every Raw. They can't even book a great constant PPV anymore. I think it's more that every match can't be a barnburner, but once there is one people want the energy level to stay there. Maybe it'd be better if they went back to having matches like Zayn/Owens as the semi-main instead of the middle of the show. They bring the crowd up then cool them off, I don't think that's smart.
