I have to say its rather BS to introduce the idea of DIY bridges for the one you need to build and then lock any future ones with an expensive cost rather than having them require a lot of raw materials. Yeah I get the idea they don't want players rushing through things too quick, but when why suggest you can build them yourself rather than having them have a low initial cost that's increased later. Yeah people would be upset about Nook jacking up the price, but at least that's not suggesting that crafting is an option and then arbitrarily taking it away. For that matter I'm not a fan of how some of the bridges are over double the price of the cheapest one when there's no actual functional difference. Takes away a lot from the whole customization aspect of the game if to get your entirely cosmetic thing looking a certain way you have to pay vastly more for it.

That's where they could have incorporated the raw elements more; the red brick bridge costs the same, but you'll need a lot of clay for it. At least that feels a bit fore fair than an additional 50k being required.

I caught the damn stringfish.
It is over.
Now the quest for a golden trout can begin, but at least it's not as bad as the stringfish.
I hope.

Small price to pay but it will show guests you went above and beyond without requiring more Bells that your deadbeat animal villagers won't help out on.

Be careful with picking up villagers leaving others' towns. It's causing a glitch for people where an empty plot of land is put up that makes it impossible for villagers to move in. Apparently Nintendo's aware of the issue but no word on a fix just yet.

Hoping I can keep in the cycle of it after the 31st but I can definitely see P5R cutting into how much Animal Crossing I'm playing. Still, been doing a ton of it.
Really wanting a big turnaround on turnips this week. I'm going in tomorrow with about 1.5 million bells and about 600,000 bells worth of tarantulas and sturgeons to sell, hopefully I can buy at a low price and sell at a high one to get a gigantic profit. If only because the last two house extensions are ludicrously expensive.

Here's a more genuine reason not to buy it - if multiplayer's a concern for you or you share the console with someone then this game is... very, very unsuited to it. Basically whoever starts the island gets to do all the new stuff and anyone else is SOL.

I'd say so, yeah. The only online I've done so far is going to some random GameFAQs person's town to sell turnips one time and I'm having a blast with it.

I’m honestly trying to figure out, when this is all over, whether to buy a Switch or a Switch lite?
Like, I’m 75% sure I won’t ever want to play stuff on a TV and have no room on my desk for it but there’s a 25% chance I might so...

If it helps there is an additional reason to buy a standard Switch over a Lite - the newer models have double the battery life.

New Horizons is so relaxing and it's what I need during these shitty times. It's so nice that I can use it to catch up with my real life friends besides social media. Feel free to add me if you need more Southern Hemisphere friends. 5699-4905-3771

Also you get the Joy cons as detachable with the regular switch so you can play simple multiplayer with people.

If it helps there is an additional reason to buy a standard Switch over a Lite - the newer models have double the battery life. Also you get the Joy cons as detachable with the regular switch so you can play simple multiplayer with people. One pro for the Switch Lite is that it is the more readily available model right now, as due to the current pandemic regular Switch's are pretty much nowhere to be found in most North American markets. (In true Nintendo fashion they say that they are aware of the issue and are trying to produce more.) So if you absolutely need to get one right this very second the Lite may be the way to go.
