Ended up getting Pokemon Shield, Dragon Quest XI and Streets of Rage 4 all for Switch. Anything I need to know about these games before getting into them? Never played a Streets of Rage of DQ game and the last Pokemon game I played was X/Y. Sword and Shield are... okay. They are okay. I am curious what it'll be like for someone who didn't play Gen 7, since in a lot of ways they're Gen 7 but without quite as many problems, mostly in that they'll let you play them to some degree without being quite as eager to pause to ramble on about nothing. If nothing else I'd highly recommend getting the DLC because besides expanding the Pokemon options substantially it also actually gives the game a half-decent postgame which it is otherwise severely lacking. That said the games do still have a tendency to treat the player like an absolute idiot, especially how every single fight against Hop or Leon, when you first use a super effective move they'll stop the game to praise you for understanding basic game mechanics. The entire game does this, even the very last fight in the story. As for DQ11... I dunno? I have it and I've played a good chunk of it, and I do really enjoy a lot of aspects of it, but for some reason I've had major trouble actually getting invested in it. I think the plot's just kind of too meandering? I left off at the start of I think chapter 8 and other than getting some new party members here and there in that time almost nothing has actually happened, kind of led to me getting checked out on it. Not played Streets of Rage 4 so nothing to say on that one. Not really my genre.

Also the music is top notch.

Yeah the entire Streets of Rage series is really good. There's even a free PC fan game called Streets of Rage remake (basically a megamix of the three Genesis games) that has tons of features and even still has an active modding community.

I've barely played Breath Of the Wild when it came out, now after 2 and a half years I decided to jump back into it. Wow. Between the very limited stamina, constantly breaking weapons, somewhat unintuitive menus and overpowered opponents I don't remember this game being that frustrating and absolutely not fun to play. Am I missing something?

Bought it for Switch a couple months ago, fell in love with it and those complaints didn’t seem nearly as egregious when I came back to it

I gradually had to develop a taste for Breath of the Wild. My first playthrough I spent like half of it pretty much hating it and had to begrudgingly push through because I didn't have any other Switch games, but eventually kind of started to gel with it. Done three more subsequently and each one I've had more of a taste for it to where by now I'm very fond of it, though I'd still probably rank it toward the lower end of the 3D Zelda games because it's kind of less my taste than the rest of them; only one I'd really confidently say I like it more than is Skyward Sword.
Do think the game has a lot of issues that I hope the sequel fixes. The breakable weapon thing is fine in theory but in practice they break waaaay too often - seems like you can't get through a single fight with more than one or two enemies without something busting - and there should be some option to keep around and fix broken weapons. The dungeons are all total garbage and a more conventional approach to those would be a lot better. Rain is a constant nuisance that only exists to waste your time making you stand around to wait to be able to go places and it feels like it gets more common the longer you play the game. There are a few too many Rupee sinks and it gets tedious having to constantly do the snow bowling game to grind money. The game's difficulty isn't well balanced because at the start you're constantly in danger while by the end nothing poses any sort of threat to you. Everything about farming the dragons' parts seems deliberately designed to waste your time. Not being able to upgrade any of the DLC gear rendering it all completely useless was an extremely stupid idea.
None of this really ruins the game for me, but I'd have a far greater appreciation for the sequel if it handles all that kind of stuff.

I really need to play more of Bug Fables. I've enjoyed what I've played, it definitely captures that Paper Mario feel while also having its own identity, but kind of just haven't gotten around to sinking much time into it.

It's essentially a tribute to the early Paper Mario games

Went and deleted Pac-Man 99 off my switch, Tetris 99 might be stressful but for god's sake, that doesn't have 5 billion things happening at once.

Remember that Ace Attorney leak from a few months ago about the two Japan exclusives coming to the West?
Well...
