I gave up on Landstalker, deleted my save, and started Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I had to FORCE myself to play Landstalker, while I'm eager to continue playing TTYD. Maybe it's not how many games you beat in a year that matters, but how much you have fun playing those games.

My friends give me a hard time because I am notorious for bouncing off of games pretty quickly, even ones I spent money on or bought day one, but my line of thinking is we only have so many days given to us in the light of the sun, and brother, I have no time for mediocrity. For what it's worth I think you're making the right call.

I do the same thing, I’ll get 3-4 big games on the go and it’ll take me months to finish them. Plus a lot of 20 minute sessions on retro games

I have no idea what to use the second one on. My son has been expressing an interest in Pokemon, but I'm not sure where to start with that. Arceus?

Fire Emblem Engage story DLC's out on April 4th or 5th, depending on the region. Not picking it up for the time being myself since I'm really just finding the game a chore to get through - though it did motivate me to angle to finish it, I have two chapters left so wouldn't take long - and I'm really just eager to be done with it already. If the mood ever strikes me to play it again I might get the DLC then but for now zero interest in spending more money on this game.

I'd go for either Legends or Scarlet / Violet. Even with the glitches in the latter think it's probably the most fun Pokemon game on the Switch, but Legends runs a lot better if that's a consideration for you.

Arven's so funny because when you meet him, you really hate his guts but as you hang out with him, you begrudgingly respect them, then feel for the bastard. So to realize it's based off of real life inspiration is something else.

Feels like not a lot actually shown for how long that video is, but new mechanics do at least look like they'll be notably shaking things up in some ways. The fusion thing is kind of coming off like it could easily turn annoying or overly complicated, but the ascension thing looks neat.
