Today is the 1 year anniversary of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood
Aww, man, I'd love to go to that. Yeah, I really want to go to that and the one in Japan.

So a Korean ratings board posting has gone up for an updated re-release of Shin Megami Tensei 5. Always been kinda-sorta curious about it but aware of its many problems so hopefully it does a lot to polish it up.

Nintendo has 3 games to be released this year, and none of them are what I'd call system movers. Peach in March, and TBD for Thousand Year Door and Luigi's Mansion. We're talking games that would probably be considered home runs for selling 2-3 million copies. As long as the system is backwards compatible, and they would be f***ing insane to not make it BC, the new system could drop at any time this year and not really interfere with game sales. If it's been pushed back to 2025 I'd say it's much more likely to be a supply chain or production issue, as Nintendo has openly stated they want to make sure the market is flooded with consoles in the first 6 months The rumor is that it's been pushed back to make for a stronger launch library (which I get since, like, every Nintendo console has a terrible launch library) but also that it is backwards compatible so who knows. They're totally dropping the next Mario Kart as the big launch title for Switch 2.

Since Showtime takes place in a theater and a play has three acts, that means there's more costumes for Peach to be revealed

And there we have it. Not expecting anything earth shattering though Partner Showcases have come a long way since the infamously lousy first two from July/August 2020, so fingers crossed we get some decent news.

What I love about Partner Showcases is I can knock that shit out in like two minutes. Poke through to see if there's maybe a Zero Escape port and then bounce without wasting my time on the trivialities.

So turns out a rumor going around about the Direct, teased by Pyoro and backed up more specifically by other people, is... {Spoiler}An Endless Ocean remaster. I have no idea what that is but apparently people are hyped for it.

As far as the rumored title {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Endless Ocean (and its sequel) always fell into that category of quirky Wii games that I never played, but was curious about.
More successful than really niche stuff like Zack & Wiki, but not quite up to Sin & Punishment levels either

Never heard of it {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Endless Ocean were a pair of deep sea diving games for the Wii that were developed by Arika (Best known for the Street Fighter EX games and their spiritual successor Fighting Layer EX) and published by Nintendo. They were fun chill games based on just swimming around and interacting with virtual marine life.

I know it's not likely but here's to a new Donkey Kong Country We are due for a new DKC game, it's been almost 10 years since Tropical Freeze. That reminds me, I should go play DKCR and Tropical Freeze again.

Even Yoshi has gotten a new game in his franchise with Crafted World.

Granted I feel like it'd be better to have no Yoshi games than Crafted World. No clue how on earth they followed up Woolly World with that lifeless meandering chore of a game.

I hate how many items pickups in Metroid Dread rely on speed boost bullshit. It makes item hunting more aggravating than fun.

Some other rumored games for tomorrow's Showcase - {Spoiler}Super Monkey Ball Penny's Big Breakaway shadow drop Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance I hate how many items pickups in Metroid Dread rely on speed boost bullshit. It makes item hunting more aggravating than fun. Yeah, I was having that same issue with it. That's also something I dislike about Zero Mission.

I gave it a quick fast-forward and basically the only thing I cared about at all is that they're putting Killer Instinct up but hey, it's something.
