Im hoping for Diddy Kong Racing and the Gamecube on the Nintendo Online thing. Other than that, I dont know what else I would want to be honest. Pikmin 1, 2, Metroid Prime, and Paper Mario TTYD have all already been given standalone releases with MP2, WW, TP, and F-Zero GX being long rumored ports. They're not exactly leaving anything for NSO. |

I'm mostly hoping, beyond the leaked thing, for Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, though there've been rumors of a new 2D game that I'm hoping don't push those back too far. A Luigi's Mansion 1 shadow drop, Star Fox Assault, Kid Icarus Uprising, all of that stuff would be amazing but I'd settle for just one or two games worth caring about. Do think probably the thing I'm most confident in them showing is Genealogy of the Holy War, almost guarantee that is going to open the show. ... I'd need to see, Engage seriously poisoned this series for me. Off the wall bonkers prediction - gut is telling me Eternal Darkness port. I’ll stop bitching (for now) about no Twilight or Wind Waker HD if we get the Oracle games remade like Link’s Awakening I want a new Punch Out. Is beating up Glass Joe again too much to ask? I would settle for Punch Out Wii being ported to Switch, that game was f***ing fantastic. |

Just remembered a couple of other things that have been heavily rumored for this Direct lately - {Spoiler}A new Mario Party and something or other to do with Pushmo. I'd need to see how they approach the former, latter would be neat. |

Metroid Prime 2 Remaster must be coming at some point soon too, been about 18 months since the first one. There’s no way they weren’t already working on the second when that one dropped.

I'm always holding out hope that the Sonic Advance trilogy will get added to Nintendo Online. Granted they supposedly have issues with licensing those games outside of Japan and i figure if Sega wanted to release them they would do a multi platform collection like the Castlevania Advance games.
At this point i'm expecting at least one semi big game. Something to carry the load for the remainder of the year. Either MP4 or maybe a new Donkey Kong game that i think was rumoured a few months back. Either that or it will just be more remasters. Supposedly Nintendo have remasters of Zelda: Twilight Princess and F-Zero GX ready to go. Wouldn't say no to Super Mario Galaxy 2 though.

I'm guessing Nintendo is sitting on several big things given their hardware sales for predictions for the year are only a couple million down from last year even though it had TotK and Wonder and this year's been something of a ghost town. Yeah the big question Direct wise is what will Nintendo's big holiday game be for 2024?
-3D Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion 4, 3D Kirby, and 3D Zelda are likely being saved for Switch 2 (and given TotK came out last year the latter might still be some ways off)
-Pokémon has already announced its next mainline title is coming in 2025.
As far as major sellers, this leaves us with a few options left:
-New Mario Party as it's been a few years since Superstars and those always sell big
-Metroid Prime 4 with the idea of using the hype for that game to actually elevate the series typically successful, yet modest sales
-2D Zelda as that could have had a separate team from TotK and it's been some time since the Link's Awakening remake
-A 2D or 3D Donkey Kong to basically do for Switch what Returns did for the Wii in 2010
All feel like hypotheticals, though I full admit the DK is wishcasting on my part.

If nothing else new Mario Party is very likely, one of the recent leaked codenames matches with the naming scheme used on the last couple of those. Kind of need to see what it's like before I commit to buying it personally. Superstars was the best one in years due to more or less using the old-school ruleset but has room for improvement in terms of depth of content, but I'm not going to be too interested if they just plop out another one that's just as thin but also bring back the car or some shit. |

They can easily drop 10 games that havent been ported yet, just looking at the list of first party games, these ARENT on Switch yet: -Super Mario Sunshine (the only way you can play that is from the 3D All Stars release and that's no longer produced) -Wave Race -Kirby Air Ride -Mario Kart: Double Dash -1080Avalanche -WarioWorld -Mario Golf -Mario Party games Then they could drop at least 2-3 non major IP titles to round it out. It can be done. |
