I've been watching a lot of Nitro. I feel like people are working off memory and name. He totally didn't suck. He wasn't a stand out.
Hell most the guys in the flock were fine. Riggs was another who was perfectly adequate.

Hearing the stories you'd think he was a complete oaf, but you actually watch him and he's not especially bad. He's not as good as Johnny Ace but there's a similarity there in terms of the legend of how lame or untalented they were is an exaggeration by people looking for punchlines.
