The show is starting to lose its luster. Between Dan always being involved in some shit and Stu being Stu sometimes it just comes across as its on autopilot. Idk if Dan thinks he is invincible at ESPN but he has to cool it with the shit stiring I also don't like them talking up Sreamin A and Lavar Ball. They have to understand that they are the counterculture to ESPN's normal bullshit machine. Associating with that makes them seem just as bad.

They have to understand that they are the counterculture to ESPN's normal bullshit machine. Associating with that makes them seem just as bad. I would not even say that tho because Dan tries to get buzz like that but no one cares. He had feuded with a lot of people from Mike Golic to recently Michael Rappaport. He used to troll a lot when he only was on ESPN here and there but once they gave him his own stuff he dialed it back but it still rears its ugly head sometimes. For example with the Rappaport feud I do not think what he said about Magic Johnson not being qualified for Lakers job was racial like others but he eventually made it that and started to be petty by spending majority of the show talking about the topic and then thinking he is big time. He told Rappaport he can get him off ESPN and then said he tries to be black. His producers even got in trying to throw digs at Rappaport even accusing him of having herpes. Dans problem is he does not know when to back down and is up there with the rest of the ESPN heads of talking shit just because everyone needs a character.

He perfectly described his show when he was supporting the Lavar Ball shoe saying his show is anti establishment while hiding under the establishment.
He said he will buy a few pair of shoes to give away on his show and he said he should probably check with ESPN first since he probably shouldn't ask for money

I watched for the first time in a long time yesterday. It was a great show. The look alikes was the best thing ever. Russell Wilson looks like the guy in the horror movie who says he's tired of running and immediately gets killed, or he looks like the kid whose eyes roll in the back of his head when he takes a bite of a candy bar. I'll let you know when I stop laughing at that line.

They open the show today siding with Lavar Ball as far as his methods go. Dan says people should not care how outlandish he is and the fact he is in his sons life outweighs everything. If he costing his son 8 million that's there problem no one should care

I don't like Lavar Ball personally, because he's like the ultimate overbearing sports dad living vicariously through his children. But I do like the idea of start-up sneaker companies cutting into the bottom line of the Nikes and Adidases of the world.
Also, the "Looks Like" game is one of my favorite semi-regular segments. I cracked up at the Adnan Virk one.

If he costing his son 8 million that's there problem no one should care Sometimes Dan is the voice of reason, a guy who seems to not get too high or too low as the majority of sports fans do and continue to get conditioned by ESPN to do more. But sometimes, he just seems to like to play devil's advocate. Especially with Lonzo Ball's dad. Which is crazy. They keep talking about him, and about how talking about him is what he wants and that he's getting it. It does make them kinda look stupid. Like "Man, this guy is manipulating us REALLY well." I feel like there's a mandate at ESPN that you have to talk about Ball and Screamin A at least once an hour or pay a heavy fine. I'm completely serious.

Well I mean they do have somewhat of a mandate to talk about things. I'm forgetting what anchor brought it up but the higher ups during Tim Tebow Mania basically told producers of each show that there can't be enough Tebow. Even the anchors on TV mention they are tired of talking about Lavar and don't really want to. Le Betard said he will buy a few pairs of the sneakers and give them away but he supports the "little guy". I get Lavars motivation but in my personal opinion he's hurting his son and telling people you are charging 495 dollars for kicks and if they can't afford it they aren't big ballers is pretty f**ed up. Shaq said big ballers don't charge that much for sneakers and Dan basically tried to be snide by saying well Nike has kids making sneakers if u want to go that route.

I use to listen to LeBatard when we had ESPN radio. Then we got CBS and Fox Sports radio and now I'm stuck with Jim Rome and Colin Cowherd. I miss you Dan. I am so sorry, that is terrible. Fox sports radio here doesn't even carry Cowherd, they carry Rich Eisen instead and Dan Patrick in the mornings.

I need to listen to the local hour podcast sometime. I just watch/listen to the national show.
