I don't see this ending well for Durant and Golden State. Go ahead and call me crazy.
Golden State didn't need another shooter, I think this is just leading to an implosion where the fact there's only 1 ball is going to cause problems.

That's... going to be an interesting pairing. One of Durant's flaws is his tendency to want to completely take over a game if things start to go bad, but that's going to be harder when Curry is the default player to get the ball. I imagine they'll have some growing pains to start, but if they gel then they're probably going to be dominant for the next 5 years barring injury.

Everybody was giving the Lakers the title when they had Kobe, Shaq, Malone, and Payton with Phil as head coach, and they got their asses beat by Detroit. Everybody was giving the Lakers the title when they had Kobe, Pau, Nash, and Dwight, and they were swept in the 1st round. You've got all the talent in the world, but if they're not playing as 1, it's not going to end well.

Another superstar-filled uber team.
And apparently, it's a 2-year deal, with the 2nd year being an opt-out. Why not just stay in OKC for one more year?

Jeez, even after all the rumors I didn't really think it would happen. If they gel at all, how can they be stopped?

Basically 25 teams are completely irrelevant. That's probably being kind too lol. Then again, it kind of always has felt like most NBA teams are irrelevant. News like this is a healthy reminder why I guess.

They left out Westbrook cowardly trying to escape through the window.

Haha, what a joke.
I actually was happy to see the Cavs prove me wrong when they won this year, since I said that the same franchises always benefit due to players constantly going to the "can't miss" opportunities.
It's the reason I said that teams like the Hornets, Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Thunder, and Bucks (at least ever again) will never win the Finals.
Oh well, at least the Cavs won and got off that list.

Theres 27 teams with absoltely no chance of contending for their respective cinferences, forget the NBA title.
Theres 3 teams with better than 20/1 odds, last year there was 9

Curry's gonna get paid next year, so they may not have had the money to sign Durant at that point. I still don't quite get the NBA's salary cap so I might be off on that.
