I was ready to stop watching the show altogether once the f***ing trash people of all people got the jump on Rick's crew, but all it took was a CGI tiger attack and Ezekiel's heroic speech to bring me back in. I don't think I've ever hated anyone in fictional media as much as I hate the lead Scavenger. That includes Ramsay. I do not know about that. Ramsay Snow/Bolton was goddamn despicable I'll spoiler it in case anyone hasn't seen Game of Thrones yet. {Spoiler}I know Ramsay was a worse person. He was, as you say, truly despicable... but the lead Scavenger just has this disposition that infuriates me. Everything about her from her look to her way of speaking to the fact that she runs a trash empire... even just her name, "Jadis", annoys me to no end.
When Ramsay was killed, I cheered. When they kill her, I'm just going to say "thank god."
Although hopefully, like Ramsay, she gets fed to the cats.

You know she is going to get it, it is just a matter of when. I kind of thought zombie Sasha would get her but I do not see them lasting long into next season with the war

She's going to have to come back strong after that beating she took up on the gun tower.

Too much to do for them to wrap up in just the season premier: 1: Dwight's redemption 2: Eugene's swerve 3: Gregory's likely betrayal 4: Scavengers destroyed 5: Oceanside joins the fight 6: Gunfire, explosions, pyro and ballyhoo 7: And maybe some walkers. I wonder if mid season finale 8 ends with the time skip and the season finale ends with that "infamous scene" That would only happen if All Out War ends mid season and the second half introduces us to the Whisperers. That's a lot to squeeze in. But if it were to happen, I suspect it would involve fewer people. I loved the finale. The show gets better with each episode, and the entirety of this season has been excellent storytelling. Based on the pacing of season 7 in relation to the progression of the comic, as well as the amount of material to be covered, I have a feeling "All Out War" is going to last all of season 8, which is fine by me. No spoilers, but I'm interested to see the television resolution compared to what we got in the comics. I'm also interested to see how the television fans react. Good stuff all around. Walking Dead is much fun for me. Considering non-comic fans are assuming the opposite will take place (and given their response to what we've gotten this season), I imagine them being flabbergasted. I think the only way we'd know at this moment is if we check the performer's contract. I'm a couple issues behind, but I'm caught up with "Here's Negan." That could easily be squeezed into a single extended episode like the one that explained how Morgan calmed down and learned to use the staff.

Yea it would be a lot to squeeze in unless they divert from the comic in that regard and fill in time from the time skip & there is no doubt they will def do less people than they did before for that scene.

Just read the new issue of Walking Dead. Upon doing so, I realized that, if the TV show lasts long enough to reach this issue, it won't be on television until the end of this decade, or the beginning of the next. All Out War began in issue #115 and that was published in October 2014, which was about 2.5 years worth of comics ago. Considering one year's worth of comics probably takes two seasons of television, you're correct. We've got a ways to go.

If things happen the way it seems to be in the comic and this is not a fake out this is going to be a real emotional scene on TV.

So I have finally got round to watching the finale. Really enjoyed it. - Good to see Abraham again, even if it was just a dream.. I do miss his witty one liners. - Was really hoping the leader of that group that betrayed Rick was going to get it, what a bunch of jerks. - Sasha went out quite heroic, interestingly enough, she was the only walker to appear in the whole episode.. Also that dude she bit the face of was the first and only Walker fatality of Season 7. - Michionne took a hell of a beating, a scene from the comics with 2 other characters. - Eugene has got a lot of redeeming to do. So all in all I've liked Season 7.. Not sure if it is my favourite but I think Jeffrey Dean Morgan was an excellent choice for the Character. and honestly compared to the comic book version of Negan, I actually don't think he needs to be all "f***y f*** f*** f***" like the Comic book version, he is already witty enough without having to drop F bombs all the time. So looking to Season 8.. It's pretty much All Out War.. I just wonder if it will last the whole season or just the first. I can't help but feel the show is catching up with the comics quite quickly. Still I look forward to it

So now that I'm all caught up, I've got a bit of a theory. The show is starting to edge closer to the comics, but there are still some variables on the table. {Spoiler}I think Dwight is going to die saving Daryl rather than living to take over the Saviors. I think it'll actually be Daryl who takes over as their leader at Rick's behest. Then your main leaders heading into the Whisperers War are Rick, Maggie, Ezekiel, and Daryl.

It is not a farfetched idea you have. My thoughts {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Tho Dwight is not Ricks right hand man in the comic per se, every right hand man he was supposed to have, had their roles slightly reduced due to Daryl with the biggest one being Tyrese.
You are going to need casualties in this war I can see Dwight being one. I also think they give Tara the "Heath scene"

So assuming the series continues to how it is with the comics, who is going to get {Spoiler}The recent Andrea death? It seemed Sasha was taking Andrea's role but she's died.
Even though Michonne is Rick's love interest in the show I can't see her been killed off.

In regards to who dies I assume they would kill Michonne if you want that same emotional response from Rick if they keep the scene the same
If they are looking to just put a body in that death situation than I assume you get Carol

Michonne still has plenty of time though, as TV show is still a few years away from that point. And it also would add to the "anyone can die" atmosphere of TWD.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}The reason I don't expect it to be Michonne is that they might not want to kill her off early in case she eventually has some major role to play in the comics storyline or, has an epic death at some point.
For that reason I expect it to either be a character who has already died in the comics like Carol or, a TV series only character like Tara or Darryl.
Has any character been killed off in the TV before their comic counterpoint? I know some have survived longer, like Abraham and Tyreese lasting longer than they did in the comics but I don't think many have been killed earlier. I think Dale was killed off earlier wasn't he? He's one of the few I can think of
edit: And well shit, of course. Andrea.

edit: And well shit, of course. Andrea. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Daryl is not dying in that death imo. If they wanted to kill him they could of did it during Negan to get its most impact Characters that have survived longer in the TV show than comic are Tyrese, Carol, Abe, Morgan off the top of my head
Characters killed before their comic book characters are Andrea, Sophia and Dale off the top of my head.
The deaths are not 1 to 1 per se unless it's iconic like the Glenn death, Jessie getting killed with Carl losing an eye, and Lori dying at the prison but not in the same way. In this this case if Andrea does indeed die than Michonne would def have to be the one to go.
However, things can change. I wonder if they will keep Ezekiel alive because Kirkman regrets killing him. Rick is essentially a cripple in the comics and considering they have no cut off his hand I do not see them having Negan cripple him.

I agree with your earlier comment about Tara and Heath, given the latter was the one involved with Denise in the first place. As for Ezekiel, it wouldn't surprise me if Morgan ended up in that position. Almost ironic, considering he uses a staff.

If Rick is not crippled that changes a lot of the dynamic for the time skip
Which also brings up a point of the Lydia, Carl, Enid interactions. They will more than likely switch Lydia backstory a bit considering what Alpha lets them do to Lydia
