Cole makes everything sound corny. It's like he's got a corncob stuck up his ass or something. His favorite expletive is "f***head" that right there tells you everything you need to know about tragically-unhip Mr. Cole. |

But Cole made it sound too corny Cole makes everything sound corny. I don't know what it is but he makes things seem so damn fake even when it's a perfectly acceptable line that would sound fine on paper. Like in The Shield match when he was doing the "shades of The Shield" thing to their callbacks. Of course he should be making sure people (like theoretical new viewers) understand the story being told but for some reason it sounded horrible (imo). The mention of Corey having a tear in his eye sums things up, he didn't even have to say anything to make it seem real, hell it probably was real. It's telling that he called Bayley and Sasha's Takeover matches that featured similar callbacks to their history but he never had any issue finding the right words that added to the match rather than detracted. |

She's going to finish the storyline with Auska at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II and then they hopefully hype her up by having both show try and sign her as a free agent. I want to see her come into these meetings with each brand trying play it cool by dressing up, having an entourage (but it's like her mom, any siblings she might have, and Izzy and Izzy's mom) and wearing sunglasses to play it cool. But a big shit eating grin caused by earnest fan girl excitement about getting called up to the main roster gives her away. That, or she meets with Foley and Bryan who both pitch to her contract offers at the same meeting and she gets so excited that she says yes to anything. Foley: Bayley, Stephanie and I would love to have you on Monday Night Raw. Bayley: Okay! Bryan: Hold on, before you commit to anything you should keep in mind that Shane and I think you have the potential to be a cornerstone of Smackdown Live. Bayley: Okay! Foley: You can't join both shows! Bayley: Okay! |
