Shit match aside, I wasn't expecting HHH to retain over Orton at 25

WM9, which was unpleasant as a kid who loved Bret and never liked Hogan.
WM27, which was fantastic as I've always marked for Miz.

I know we kid about it, but WM XX still shocked me, HHH being a burial machine was at it's height and everyone was paranoid the "all the edge I need" promo would indicate Edge would run in and cost Benoit the match, but no, HHH tapped clean

Assuming we are just talking last show of the night and not those that were billed as co-main events:
1 - Hogan and Mr T were obvious winners 2 - Hogan was the clearly going to beat Bundy 3 - It may have surprised some fans that Hogan ended Andre's 15 year unbeaten streak. 4 - although WWF magazine spoiled it ahead of time, Randy Savage winning the tournament rather than Hogan or Andre I imagine would have shocked a few. 5 - Hogan was always winning over Savage 6 - Warrior beating Hogan clean I imagine shocked quite a few. 7 - Hogan was always beating Slaughter 8 - First mania I watched when it happened so can talk my reaction from here in. Warrior's return and Hogan not pinning Sid were surprising. 9 - Hogan getting an impromptu match with Yoko has to go down as one of the biggest shocking, and inexplicably badly booked endings. 10 - was not clear if it would be Bret or Lex Luger emerging with the belt ahead of the event, but when it came down to Bret v Yoko it was always going to be Bret. 11 - LT was always beating Bam Bam 12 - the narrative was set up for HBK aachievig his boyhood dream and beating Bret 13 - Undertaker v Sid was a surprising choice as main event that only happened due to injury, but Taker was always winning once the match was made 14 - Austin era was always beginning here 15 - Austin was always beating Rock 16 - It was surprising both that it wasn't Rock v Triple H one on one and that Triple H won. 17 - Austin winning was no surprise, the manner in which he won was. Still not over the mistake of turning him heel. 18 - Triple H was always beating Jericho 19 - No shock in Brock beating Kurt, was shocked at the botched shooting star though 20 - the narrative was such that Benoit was expected to win 21 - Batista was set up to beat Triple H 22 - Expected Cena to beat Triple H 23 - Expected Cena to beat HBK 24 - Expected Taker to beat Edge 25 - Was not surprised Triple H to beat Orton but was at the manner he won. Odd finish 26 - the career ending aspect gave it a vague element of doubt, but expected Taker to beat HBK again. 27 - everything was telegraphed towards the Rock interfering in some way, but Miz retaining was still a bit of a surprise. 28 - First mania I went to, and was sure Cena was winning so a brilliant surprise when Rock won. 29 - pointless rematch and obvious Cena was winning 30 - Once Daniel Bryan got there he had to win 31 - Had hoped for a cash in but still was surprised they pulled the trigger on it as expected Reigns to walk out champ. 32 - Reigns was the obvious winner.

I know we kid about it, but WM XX still shocked me, HHH being a burial machine was at it's height and everyone was paranoid the "all the edge I need" promo would indicate Edge would run in and cost Benoit the match, but no, HHH tapped clean I expected Benoit to win, but I thought he was going to beat Shawn in the match. Instead, he actually beat Hunter by tapping him out and they smartly saved Michaels for the rematch in Edmonton where it would get the biggest reaction.
