And to avoid doubleposting, I've got something good for y'all. Harley Wootton's been soliciting questions regarding the loose ends and fuzzy bits of the Ashes saga over on Facebook (IAmCHIKARA Facebook group) for the past day or so. Today, he responded to everyone with this: "Thanks for all of your great responses! Pandora's Box might be re-opened..." I don't know if it means a full-on continuation or if we just get some answers, but I'm looking forward to it.

Maybe a stupid question..but who is Harley Wooton?  And could you post some of the better questions that have been brought up?  I was fascinated with the Ashes clips and it was what got me into Chikara in 2014, but I always thought there could have been so much more to it.

I didn't know offhand when I first came across the name, but he and his brother Kenny do entrance music for CHIKARA.

People have mainly asked about the major stuff, like Soldier's whereabouts. I've asked about 17 (is he Dieter's brother, was he replaced), Jakob (Cube, the Eye, did he ever get the Cup, plus which minion Pinkie was), and just what happened to Jervis.

Also I still think that IF, big IF, that was supposed to be Archibald Peck's last Chikara appearance he should have appeared during the triple threat and been backfisted by Eddie Kingston, closing the loop once and for all. Cuz right now that's a huge thread left dangling.

I think that in the first time he was backfisted he was send to the future (2015) and them he was back in the past again on the next day. Only when he was backfisted a second time he ended in the past and them needed a backfist back to the future

I think that in the first time he was backfisted he was send to the future (2015) and them he was back in the past again on the next day. Only when he was backfisted a second time he ended in the past and them needed a backfist back to the future

Logic would state that something would have to send him back to 2011. Not just waking up and being back there. Also the timeline changed, originally he read the almanac and saw that he would be Young Lions Cup champion. This time he read that he died. The Archibald Peck from 2011 is probably still somewhere in 2016.

The second 17 was attacked by Kid Cyclone during the 4 way tag match at You Only Live Twice so it wouldn't have been Condron filling in for the original guy.

There's a part of me that wishes Quack would be really petty with his grudges. Like if he had heat with 17 over how he left the company he could trot out a super fat guy in a 17 outfit and call him "34"

I don't think we will ever find out who the second 17 was. I don't think we were supposed to figure out there was a second one. It was probably expected to be a seemless replacement. His build was right but his wrestling style was far less aggressive. It wasn't hard to figure out he'd been replaced.

We're not even supposed to know who the first 17 was. We were told it was someone that was trained by the same person that trained Quack but it clearly wasn't after his real identity leaked. I'd heard he leaked it himself publicly which lead to the reason for him being replaced. Even if he hadn't, we weren't supposed to find out who he really was.

It was always assumed he was Dieter's brother based on the Ashes storyline but that kind of creates one of those convoluted Star Wars plot twists. Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker who is the father of Luke Skywalker who owned C-3PO who was built by Anakin Skywalker. It's a bit much. Haha. It could still be the way they went with the story.

People should start sending in questions to that new CHIKARA podcast and see if they can get some of their questions answered. It's worth a shot.

"Was 17 replaced" was asked in a purely kayfabe context. There's a post-show bit after he bailed on the Flood where Jacobs is clearly heard to claim that it wasn't the same guy, and combined with him being dragged behind the curtain back at NPWD...

Yeah, the original 17 is a southeast indy wrestler(and that's all I'll say about it in thread, but Cagematch is your friend), but that was ONLY during the original GEKIDO run, not the run for 17 as a Flood member.

They were the Gekido version of the Colony.

CombatANT DeviANT and AssailANT.

ended with Wink splitting the Colony and Swarm up due to Chikarametrics for KoT 2012.

Soldier Ant was put with Combat and Devi, and Assail was stuck with Green and Fire.

AssailANT eventually became Worker Ant

Unless you mean who they were under the masks
