It's pretty funny that Solo Darling has made 3 appearances in Chikara, all this year, most recently YESTERDAY, and she's already listed as a Past Star

So CHIKARA has now lost one of their best workers in Amasis and possibly Sabar as well?
Considering if Heidi and Kimberlee are on their way out too, as is Gulak, this is becoming a bit of a dire time for CHIKARA's talent pool considering who they've already lost. They're gonna need their next generation to step up, and really quickly.
On a brighter note, I hope Amasis is getting looked at by NXT or something, dude has so much potential.

Let us not be sad for the end of the Osirian Portal. Instead, let us remember the great times we had with the Funky Pharaoh and the Venomous and Vile Serpent from the Nile...
Oh crap, I think I just hypnotized everyone here. I'm getting outta here!!

Overall, I really think this season was a bust in many ways
Next to no storyline progression, their Roster being gutted for multiple reasons whether it's NXT/WWE Callups or people just parting ways, some of Quacks backstage politics being brought to an ugly light via some of the stuff with Chuck Taylor. And a lot of the shows just blending into each other and people not being consistent or showing up at all.
Like is it just me or have Jakob, Jaka, and Pinkie been gone for months? Eddie's in TNA right now and may be going to WWE, Kimberlee and Heidi may be gone soon, Gulaks out, Amasis is out, Condron is out, Cottonbelly may as well be out, The Tag Champs are seldom seen as they're from Britian, King of Trios was won by a team we'll never see again for the second year in a row outside of the Tournament itself, the Young Lions Cup is an afterthought, Dev Corp seems to be out, Sabar's out, we're losing a ton of talent while next to nothing feels like it's really happening or being resolved, and the new talent pool has no one to work off of and nothing to build with.
We're in a bit of a rough spot with CHIKARA Pro guys. I don't think it's the end necessarily, but I think we're reaching a point where the days of 2008-2014 are over and may never come back... too many people lost, not replacing them, bridges burning, it's a mess, and it's also a shame.
In retrospect, closing the company down for a year at its peak of popularity? Probably the decision that's going to end up killing this company in the end.

Holy poop what a great atmosphere to experience live. The hour+ Cibernetico, when Mantis stood, Quack vs Gulak. That show ruled.

Oh I missed the fact that Quack wrestled again
Looking more and more like he's gonna need to start wrestling more honestly, his roster is thinning, he can still go, and honestly, CHIKARA needs it. Quack having wrestling matches with the likes of Argus could elevate them to a new level, but I guess we'll see

I agree that was a really weak year and its sad to see guys like amasis, drew, kevin, prakash and blaster going away. But we still have guys lke fire ant and ophidian, also dont forget that all this amazing guys leaving are product of the wrestle factory so the next amasis/gulak may be coming around the corner. Also there are a lot of talented indy worker out there that can be called to chikara

Also there are a lot of talented indy worker out there that can be called to chikara I agree that CHIKARA still has talent, but to me, it's a matter of how long they stay at this point. Ophidian and Fire Ant I wouldn't be surprised to see go to greener pastures like the CWC next year. And while some stars are thankful for CHIKARA work, a lot of workers know of Quacks rep at this point and some workers don't want to work there anymore.
You can call talented indy workers to CHIKARA, but they won't stay, that's the problem, we're running out of homegrown guys that one can consistently stay on shows, two are over, and three, are solid in the ring. I'm not saying that the future talent won't bring good stuff but in losing so much talent, including Gulak who has helped train students for years in the factory, it's a very bad break for the company.
It's the combination of next to nothing happening, the infrequency of some workers like Kingston, Thundergod, Cottonbelly, The BDK as a whole, Shynron, Jigsaw, etc., and then the outright disappearance and releases of others (Need I bring up that giant Rex dude that Bakabella bought in one night), and a bunch of dudes with next to no build, hype, or really purpose right now, and a lot of that is in the Tag Teams (Pelotin, DeFarge/Crummels, The Seafood Trio) CHIKARA is in dire straights to me.
And it's not just the talent lost this year, it's the accumulating loss of talent they've had since the Hiatus Period ended. Guys like Archibald Peck, and then 3.0 who barely show up anymore, who they tried to basically copy with NRG and failed MISERABLY, because people saw right through it, and NRG are basically sunk at this point due to that. What a mess that whole scenario was.
We're at the point there King of Trios is turning into putting other teams over other than the Main Roster Talent, and where half the cards for shows or more anymore look like shit or are downright uninteresting when just like two years ago every match on CHIKARA Cards looked friggen awesome...
it's depressing, it truly is depressing, and I want to hope that things will rebound for them, but at this current time? CHIKARA's basically gone two full years of wheel spinning, year one with the COTI being one giant booking crutch (Kimberlee's payoff was nice but still), and this year being... even more nothing. Big Evil Faction Number Seven at this point, and I can get behind a faction and all but at this point fighting a big evil is formulaic, and they've done it since 2010.
Seriously, it's been The BDK, then GEKIDO, then Condor, then The Flood which was like four factions in one, Then Condron (Which never got the chance to start), then The Wrecking Crew, and now Nazmaldun's Army, lead by a faceless non existent character which is hard to invest in, and yeah I know he possessed Mantis but that didn't really go anywhere either did it?
This is CHIKARA's problem and more than ever it's showing. People leave, people get better opportunities, and Quack has OCD Booking that is planned out months to years in advance because he adores the slow burn story. When it's done right, it soars, but if there is one tiny bump in the road, it falls apart. It happened with Claudio in the BDK which F***ed up the 12 Large Final of Kingston vs Claudio. It happened with Condron, it happened with Dev Corp, and while no one on Nazmaldun's Side has left, Amazis, Gulak, Kimberlee, and Heidi seem to be on the way out, and it's not a good sign.
I wanna be optimistic, I do, but to me, right now, that is impossible. CHIKARA has too many problems right now, and they're seemingly mounting every year since their Hiatus Storyline. They should have never done it. They ruined their momentum, they ruined the momentum that so many other wrestlers with them had, and in the long run, it may just ruin the company itself.
I don't want that, it's the last thing I want, but this is a road that does not lead to a promise land for them, people on the roster are leaving or their futures are up in the air, and some like you are waiting and hoping that they have the next Gulak, the next Silver Ant, the next Ophidian, the next Amasis, Kimberlee, Heidi, Kingston, Jakob, Dev Corp in the wings... but those guys/gals? They're very one of a kind talent, and I don't think CHIKARA can wait much longer... I hope I'm wrong, but I guess we'll see.

Yes, Gresham was assigned to the Osirian Portal unmasked by Wink in the Season 9 finale. and I believe in the lead up to the season 10 debut they gave Gresham the mask. Either way this was not meant to be a secret as to who he is. ... speaking of remember Escorpion Egipcio? that lasted what two months?
