I must be the only one who liked the candle skit. Cause there's an element of truth to it. That and buying the hand lotion....reminded me of a skit on Jimmy Kimmel years back about buying gifts at CVS. The well was even better though.
I similarly must be the only person who likes Rach-nessa too. Generally the guests are now the highlights of WU since the show has put the left spin harder on the segment. And other things. Yes I'm going there again. And I know what was said above, but I dunno...it just seems extra bitter and some of it's not fun. And this is from me, an apolitical person.
Always nice to see the Pretentious High School company.

A TNA picture in the poster skit? Insert your own "TNA" and "not ready for prime time" joke here.

It is surreal to hear Darrell Hammond say John Cena's name. It's gonna be even more surreal when the Face runs Lorne Michaels's place next week! If "surreal" means you can barely hear him as usual...

It is surreal to hear Darrell Hammond say John Cena's name. Don Pardo saying The Rock's name in 2000 was much more surreal.

Yes, regardless on what you believe -- and I am pretty apolitical -- enough is enough. It's coming off as petty and, well, soapboxy. Not to mention out of touch when you keep making like the result of an election is a national tragedy...then again I am usually one for giving most anyone one chance. I finally visited the WTC last weekend, it kind of makes you remember real tragedy. People using the 9/11 Mood/Voice about this is akin to wrestling announcers using hushed tones to sell a worked shoot injury. But in all fairness, SNL has really thrived when making fun of politicians. Going back to Chevy and Dan doing Ford and Carter. Hartman and Carvey as Reagan and H.W. Bush. Then they had a field day with Clinton, Perot, and Bob Dole. Same with Ferrell as W. But Trump is like an original character. Dude is a comedy goldmine. They may not like his ideas or policies, but for their jobs as comedy writers and satirists, they have to be thrilled he won. They're going to have to find a cast member to do Trump. I don't know how often they can get Alec Baldwin to do him. And they fired their in-house Trump impersonator (Taran Killam) over the summer. Regardless, I don't think they would've been worrying about their jobs if Clinton won considering she's her own comedy goldmine and Kate McKinnon did a really good impression of her. They're generally really good with their presidential and political impressions except for Obama. Dwayne Johnson did a better job at Obama than either Fred Armisen or Jay Pharoah. And I love Jay Pharoah and his impressions. But his Obama wasn't that good.

They could do what they did in 1979-80 when Akyroyd (who played Carter) left and just not have Presidential sketches, but that would look really strange.
