That Kyle and Beck skit was brilliant.

The show's been on a roll as of late. So good! I'm digging it! Hoping the streak continues April 8th with Louis CK.

The dog sketch was the highlight of the show. The dog knocking the helmet off made it even funnier. Good episode tonight, SNL is in a good stretch right now and with Louis CK on deck on April 8th, it's a safe bet that will continue.

OK, I heard somewhere that Baldwin was fired/let go. What's going on?

OK, I heard somewhere that Baldwin was fired/let go. What's going on? Neither. Just that he has expressed that after this season, he wants to retire his Trump impression.

They should get Anthony Atamanuik to do Trump on SNL. I think he's even better than Baldwin. Plus, he was on 30 Rock, so I'm guessing he has a working relationship with NBC.

There's apparently bad blood between Atamanuik and Baldwin and/or SNL. He and James Adomian were great as Trump and Bernie Sanders, so I'd love to see him do his Trump impression on a bigger stage.
I also can't really blame Baldwin for not wanting to be a constant guest star when he's got other things going on. SNL really needs an in-house Trump impersonator instead of relying on a special guest star for however long they need one.

And Taran did a great Trump and Jay did a great Obama, but you know...they didn't want two really talented people in the cast.

Better yet, even though it'll never happen, forget the 2-3 political skits per episode?

The way they dropped both Taran and Jay left a really bad taste in my mouth. Mind you, I'm not a big fan of Jay's Obama (though I loved his Ben Carson for an impression that would've been more relevant this year), but Taran's Trump was pretty good.

Two of my favorites gone and they keep that unfunny goof Kyle Mooney around. I know some of you or maybe most of you like Kyle, but I think he is awful and not funny.

Beginning August 10th, SNL Weekend Update will be a primetime Thursday night show (in addition to being part of the actual SNL show)! Honestly, this could be good for both sides of the fence. They could make the WU show more like a Daily Show type deal, while leaving more of the lighter news for SNL.

Wow, who would have thought that we'd have two wrestlers host in the same season (yeah, Dwayne is a huge movie star now, but he still counts)?

Weekend Update hasn't been very strong this year, and I guess Che didn't catch any heat for flubbing his lines like a hundred times that one episode when everyone on Twitter thought he was drunk. Weird timing, but if it gets me more Michael Che, I'm happy. Dude is a star. Colin, eh. He can't last that much longer, can he?

Via Twitter, we now have the lineup for the rest of the season! Melissa McCarthy and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will join the Five Timers Club! McCarthy again? Hard pass.
