A political ad skit was perfect given the slog of commercials we've had tonight.

A political ad skit was perfect given the slog of commercials we've had tonight. At one point when I live we had an ad for one candidate followed by an an ad against that candidate. And I don't live in a swing state. Imagine what it was like for someone that live in a swing state.

Chappell was stellar. This kid is gonna go far. She who shall not be named was good in the open. Didn’t pay attention to much else honestly.

So since...she...appeared with her impersonator, is the character going to be retired?

So since...she...appeared with her impersonator, is the character going to be retired? By Maya Rudolph at least. Depending on what happens in the next few days, they would need a full-time castmember to play her since, y'know, the POTUS at any given time tends to get plenty of SNL sketches about them.

Yeah either way this is a different situation. Maya could still be there as such.

I was hoping they would make a comment in the Kamala mirror that they had just did that bit with Ariana Grande. Thought it was a little weak that there were three repeat sketches from previous Mulaney shows, but I did like the Tim Kaine twist in "What's That Name?" The Harvey Epstein commercial was fantastic. I wonder if that was meant to go there all along or if something got cut for timing and they tossed that at the end.

I loved how they actually gave the Beppo sketch a happy ending, I was expecting it to end with the capsule exploding.

I could see Maya staying around for a year or two at least.

I imagine all three of them (Maya, Samberg and Carvey) will be on this week's show then that'll be it, unless something wild happens and it would make comedic sense for their characters to be on it ASAP.

Well folks, tonight's the night for Bill Burr and Mk.gee to delight!
And I don't have a punk show or a Monster Bash, so I'll be able to watch it live!
