Well October 9th, I guess I have to find something else to watch. I am skipping that one.

Good for them, Bowen and Chloe go to Full cast, but Lauren Holt and the big surprise Beck Bennett are out. Honestly, my fiance wasn't a big Beck fan and he didn't really move me in a specific way, so we're fine with this. Feel sad for Lauren but when Aidy said she'd be back it was a writing on the wall situation probably.

My theory: Beck has been eyeing the Update chair and left when Jost and Che decided to stick around.
He always seemed like an ideal fit for Update, it seemed almost like he was brought in for it, but never got the chance.

Beck Bennett lost a lot of his impressions, though there probably would've been a place for Shirtless Vladimir Putin still.

Beck Bennett lost a lot of his impressions, though there probably would've been a place for Shirtless Vladimir Putin still. I always felt like Beck was more at home with random humor-type stuff (he and Kyle worked together on Youtube videos before they were on SNL), and was sort of ill-suited to the political sketches which were much more prominent after a certain presidential race. Not that he was bad in that stuff, just that that wasn't his type of humor.

James Austin Johnson is absolutely hilarious. Like next level ridiculously funny. Best Trump impression on the planet. Most excited I've been about an SNL hire in forever. His bit on Trump talking about beating Pokemon is as funny of an apolitical Trump sketch as one can possibly make - www.instagram.com/tv/CHLTEAoAWh4/Additionally, looks like we won't have to suffer through Baldwin's Trump impression again. I'm not too familiar with Athari (hit me with recommendations if you got them) and Sherman I only know through her "Sarah Squirm" stuff, which is funny, but very esoteric. Excited to see what she cooks up with Kyle Mooney and how her comedic timing translates into more mainstream stuff. Going to miss Beck Bennett. Had a fantastic run, showed a lot of range. I can see him transitioning well into movies. Liked what we got from Lauren Holt too, looking forward to see where she ends up.

I'm surprised Kate is coming back. Shes funny but frankly, I'm kinda over her. That and, well, I figured she'd be moving onto the movies. Kenan leaving seems to be the "Green DX Kane" of other forms of entertainment. As in people regularly expect it to happen but it doesn't.

At this point with the amount he's contributed I wouldn't mind Kenan being dubbed a cast member emeritus or something of that nature.

Rumors I've read elsewhere (fan rumors, so take that as you will) indicate Lorne's trying to keep everybody through Season 50, where he will retire. I'm still holding onto the theory that when Lorne does retire he's handing the keys to Kenan.

Huh, weird for Kyle, hanging around with Beck gone.
At least we'll always have The Race.

I'm still holding onto the theory that when Lorne does retire he's handing the keys to Kenan. I can see it, when I did the SNL Experience thing here in Chicago when we got to the writers room day Kenan's chair is directly next to Lorne's. I would not be surprised if Lorne finally found somebody to hand the keys to in Kenan.

Is this one of the new guys playing Biden?
Honestly, I thought Alex Moffat was doing well as Biden. I'm not quite feeling this Biden.
