I like Adele, and she's an upgrade from the normal shitting of the bed that is the halftime show.

I like Adele, but like others have said, I don't think she'd be a good fit for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. I also like Coldplay, and they weren't a good fit for the halftime show either. Granted, they only played part of my favorite song of theirs, Viva La Vida.
I think Green Day would still be a great show, but I don't think that'll happen. I think they're busy working on their twelfth album.
I also think Fallout Boy would be a good show as well. I enjoyed their performance at the Grey Cup last year.

Foo Fighters wouldn't be a bad choice either.

I've been praying for that for years and years, and it's just never gonna happen. I mean, Coldplay? These people making the decisions are just plain incompetent. And I get the mainstream route, but Coldplay??

If Roger Goodell had any guts, he would pick Yeezy.

Coldplay's pace was so anti-SB that they had to bring in two other people to try to drag the tempo up, and it made a giant mess of a show in the end. I can't imagine who they were bring out to try to make Adele more lively.

I think it's a great choice. Hopefully she can make the players so sad they don't want to play the second half. I'm not joking. I think that would be the coolest thing ever.

Good God, this woman is boring and lame, what a shitty choice if true An appropriate fit for the Super Bowl? Maybe not. But lame? That's an opinion that is hard to swallow.

I hope that they can't decide who to use and end up going with no performance at all. I wish this every year, though, and am always disappointed.

They need to mix it up, like have Adele, Barry Manilow, and Soulja Boy.
With special guest Third Eye Blind

They'd be a perfect fit but I doubt they'd do it because they probably wouldn't be able to play while plugged in

The ultimate swerve will happen as Beyonce reveals, live to America, that Adele was really Becky With The Good Hair and she gives Adele a Burning Hammer.

Are there any bands who actually have songs about football? The only song about football i know is "Scrum" by Slayer, and i think the NFL would laugh in the face of anyone who suggests them (note: I actually like Slayer, but can you really see them for the half time show?)

She had Glasto in her palm of her hands.
I'm sure she can handle a foozball crowd.

I'm not suggesting that she'll be greeted with silence, or booed off stage, but the SB audience knows what they like. A Halftime show usually reserved for pageantry that is instead full of sad (albeit, well performed) break-up ballards will not be met with universal love

Nice Guys Finish Last by Green Day had a music video that had a football feel to it.
