She's been getting heat because she's a great heel. And She's trying to improve her wrestling, she deserves credit for that. I need examples of both of these. She was getting heat in NXT because the crowd didn't want her there, nothing she was specifically doing. During her time in NXT, she was by far the worst wrestler showcased on screen. On the main roster, where she also doesn't belong, all the heat is being garnered despite her. She isn't actually doing anything herself. You are wrong, She's getting legit heat, not go away heat, and She has plenty of time to improve her wrestling. She has a character, is charismatic. |

Not sure if its been brought up yet, but: Paige, Del Rio, Eva Marie Take the first letter from their names and you get P.E.D.  Let's look at some of the letters in those names, you've got I, A, M, and L. Those same letters are in Illuminati, that's not a coincidence. When those people walk into a dark room, they'll turn on a light to illuminate it. This is all a giant conspiracy because they wouldn't do the Illuminati's bidding. Plus, really, Eva Marie hasn't had an actual match in like six months. For all we know she's gotten a lot better in that time. And really I always found her badness exaggerated to begin with. |

There's a difference between "growing as a performer" and "learning the f***ing basics of your job", which Eva has yet to do. There are exceptions, "freakshow" acts like Khali, but when you can't stand in a corner without botching it, you don't belong on the main show. |

I remember at WrestleMania, she did a picture perfect flying head scissors, and got booed because she didn't screw up.
Wrestling is a funny business. It's probably the only one there is where you don't necessarily have to great at your job to be successful. Ultimate Warrior and to a lesser extent Hulk Hogan made entire careers out of that fact. Neither one of them are remembered for their matches, but they had so much natural charisma that it didn't matter.
I think Eva's in the same boat, charisma wise. I mean, she has been the most interesting part of SmackDown since the draft, and all she's done is blow kisses, and get chased around the ring by Naomi.

Oh god, some of the replies to Jonathan's tweet are just beautiful. You have Ryan Satin from Pro Wrestling Sheet asking him to elaborate so he can help him get the word out (carnies gotta carny man). Others are echoing what people here have been saying about he should shut up or he'll make things worse and get her fired. While one person seems to think she got suspended for last week's wardrobe malfunction, since Smackdown is a PG show.

For the first serious post of this thread but apparently Eva Marie has struggled with addictions before being a recovered alcoholic so I'm hoping this is the case of fitness drugs rather than party drugs/pain killers. Hope she didn't relapse and it was just a fatburner Many WWE women have a troubled past (Alexa was anorexic, Paige an alcoholic, Becky a junkie...), kudos to them for improving Becky was a junkie?! |

I think the fact that she hasn't had a match in six months is pretty telling on how poor her in-ring ability still is. Anyone else that's supposedly improved so much would be getting matches as soon as they moved to the main roster. And this current gimmick is a good way for WWE to hide her lack of wrestling talent, till they found something more long-term for her to do. I guess they'll have plenty of time for that now. |
