I have a soft spot for Legend Killer because of the Foley feud. But when he was the hottest thing in the company in 2009, and had the McMahons on the run, before the 'I have a medical condition' promo, he was awesome.

I hated Legend Killer Orton as a teenager and as a heel having someone truly hate you is the goal. He was also the most enthusiastic he's ever been, he was in great angles, it was a great gimmick and he was truly amazing then. So yeah, Legend Killer Orton is my "favorite" I'd say. Second version? Current Orton. He's got his swagger back.

Legend Killer Randy Orton while he was in Evolution. He reminded me of the smug, arrogant jocks growing up that would pick on the less popular students. While it may have brought up a bad memory or two, it made him a great heel in my eyes and I ended up disliking his face turn even more, because he went from wrestler I could hate like back in the kayfabe days to bland.
Mick Foley was my favorite wrestler growing up, because he played an outcast with his Mankind persona and didn't look like the typical wrestler. So to have this guy that reminded me of various bullies pick on him and spit in his face made me able to suspend my disbelief in a way I hadn't before in pro-wrestling. One of my all time favorite promos is one from Raw where Orton had a "public service announcement" calling Foley a "pathetic little b****". It was very effective IMO.

Legend killer obviously, but also loved his face turn during end of legacy angle. He was so ridiculously over in that WM match

2009 brooding, punting, deranged psychopath Orton
amazing character work, one of the best heels in recent memory imo
As bleh as almost every Orton/Cena encounter has been, their I Quit Match at Breaking Point 09 is the perfect showcase for both of their characters, and one of my favorite WWE matches of the last decade

He was the best as a nutjob heel. The whole segment where he beats up HHH and kisses an unconscious Steph was a "holy shit" moment.

Current. This is the only time in his whole career I've been remotely interested in him.

I also like RKO Vine Randy Orton, delivering RKO's to airplanes, rockets and the Incredible Hulk.

Legend Killer easily. It's been at least ten years since I've found him compelling on a regular basis.
His current character, which seems to just be him, is pretty good though.
