It's still weird that Smackdown dudes appear on the Raw dark matches and vice versa, lol. TRIPLE duty? Cuz you gotta figure those SD guys will be there tomorrow.

There are tons of other people on the roster who ARE worth watching, the rare weeks WWE can get their heads out of their asses and actually give them something to do, and it's hard to quit given that. And GOD I am so, so, so, so, SO tired of being lectured for daring to dislike something. No lie....when did it become such a big deal not to like something....that shit is happening a lot with every damn thing. On top of that like someone else said in the Thread already, if you don't have a Neilson Box, you don't show up in the ratings anyway, I don't have one of those, so not watching doesn't do a thing... when something is wrong, people will keep it up and get LOUDER when it continues to be WRONG, and that is the story of Roman Reigns. And nothing will change it unless they decide to change it.

What do you expect different when you're supporting then product every week by watching, talking and paying for it? Vince has only changed when people left. But where is a fan going to go? WWE owns the market, and it'd take YEARS for any of the indies to come close. What makes it so galling is watching just how well NXT is written and seeing LOLROMANWINS over and over. What's sad is the talent is 1997-98 WCW-esque, and they're still doing things they CONSTANTLY blast WCW for doing. ROH, TNA, and NJPW have weekly nationwide shows. NJPW, WWNLive, Chikara and countless others have streaming services like WWE. WWE does not own the market, there are options out there, you just have to be willing to do more than put in the channel number or turn on the DVR each Monday.

The thing about "don't watch" is that the only person you're affecting is yourself. Let's face it, WWE's aware of Roman's perception and they're not doing anything to change it; why would not watching tell them something they already know?

Making fun of Raw is the best therapeutic thing to do. It's why I love FAN.

I will say amidst any of the arguments and discussions happening here about negativity of the Roman Reigns persuasion, I can't WAIT for the Cruiserweight Division, only Four guys announced so far but they have me by the balls with Swann, TJP and Kendrick already. (Oh and there's Dar too...)

Then don't. Don't watch the shows, don't post in the threads, don't give them any of your time, money or attention. Only you have the power to walk away, so use it, please, for your own good. There are tons of other people on the roster who ARE worth watching, the rare weeks WWE can get their heads out of their asses and actually give them something to do, and it's hard to quit given that. And GOD I am so, so, so, so, SO tired of being lectured for daring to dislike something. Dislike is fine. I dislike Finn, doesn't kill the product for me. It is the "f*** WWE, f*** Vince, f*** Roman, Worst Show Ever" stuff that comes from the same side week after week, show after show, that it grinds on people. When people do nothing but hate, it brings out the worst in everyone. When people cannot understand why someone watches a product they spend the vast majority of their time badmouthing, that they stick around because its wrestling like there isn't more out there, and quite honestly see a board turn into a glorified YouTube comment section that it pushes people over the limit. And I am not talking about making fun of things or disliking things, that is fine. It is the mass weekly talk about how shit sucks and why would anyone watch it stuff, coming from people who won't stop watching themselves. The whole idea to have fun or to discuss things has given way to a shouting match with the loudest person claiming victory lately.

It's just stupid fun entertainment to watch. I wish it wasn't stupidly written now a days but I can't get too mad at it. It's a 72 year old man at the helm, he doesn't know what's cool anymore or at all so I'll just keep on watching and wait until he's gone to see some improvement.

About the only reason I ever, EVER watch Raw anymore is I like being part of the threads. Good or bad, provided someone's not presently beating me over the head with why I'm wrong to not be spending every moment worshiping the ground Vince McMahon walks on, I tend to at least have fun on that end at least at points in the show, riffing on things, seeing some random GIFs, and whatever else. Any time I've tried watching the show without being on this board in recent years, I just find it boring as shit and turn it off halfway through.
BUT often Raw itself, especially in recent years, is bad enough that there are still things that bore me or that annoy me, and it's frustrating seeing a show I've watched for eighteen years now descend into just straight f***ing garbage that keeps telling me I'm wrong to dislike what I'm watching even in the face of the decisions they're making clearly, demonstrably having a negative effect on their bottom line. It's like I'm trying to have fun and hope for the best, and yet WWE basically keeps smacking me upside the head telling me I'm wrong to want to enjoy myself, and THEN when I express irritation with that I also have people on here smugly going, "Well, NOTHING pleases you huh? Well then just leave! You're ruining the board for us! GO AWAY!"
If you liked Raw tonight, fine, whatever. I don't object to that. There are things I liked - Bayley was good, the Braun squash was funny, couple of the matches were alright - but on the whole, I thought it was a bad show and this is the last time I'm watching Raw for the foreseeable future because SmackDown is the far superior program.

Look... I guess it's easier for me to talk since I am already mostly detached from watching the shows... I'm at work when the weekly shows air, so I only end up mostly watching after the fact for the rankings. I pretty much only watch the PPVs as they air since I'm off on a Monday (Australian time).
It just gets frustrating for me as a fan who mostly enjoys the shows, likely due to lessened or no expectations, to see so many people who are CLEARLY unhappy with the product they're getting, even if it is just one guy and/or woman in business causing it, and have been for a long time, and aren't expecting to get any better, but still make the choice to hop back on the horse and watch again next week. I'm just sitting here from a common sense viewpoint and thinking "For your sake, do something that makes you happy". I hate being upset and I hate seeing other people being upset, even if it is valid reasons.
Hopefully that's a less inflammatory way of trying to explain my viewpoint.

In seriousness, I understand your intentions mean well, you're a good dude and you do a ton for this board and we all like you, but when it comes to that mindset, it's just not that easy or that simple for some, and WWE makes it that way. WWE is always seemingly gonna be a product where there will be things people really like, and things people really hate, and the response being "Well stop watching then" to the things people hate, it's just never gonna be that simple man.

The thing about "don't watch" is that the only person you're affecting is yourself. Absolutely not true in all cases. Familial or peer domino effect happens quite often and is pretty much how all once-popular entertainment trends die. Tom stops watching, so his young son Jimmy starts to lose interest since his dad has the TV on something else instead all the time and doesn't talk to him much anymore about who's gonna win. Jimmy's friend Scott likes to talk to Jimmy at school about wrestling, but since Jimmy has moved on to something new, Scott does too. Scott's dad is subconsciously happy about this because now it means he doesn't have to sit through his kid's rasslin and can start watching that new show his coworker keeps mentioning. Oh, and going back to Tom, now that his Youtube channel vlogs with about 40 followers doesn't really talk wrestling anymore, two or three of those followers start forgetting more often that there Raw is on tonight and only remember when they see a Facebook post about it's main event results. Then it starts becoming easier and easier to go without watching it because the investment in it has started slipping. Etc., etc.

You know I'm fine with having to have class till 8 CST now. I think I'm just going to be making mine Smackdown from here on out until they do something that tantalizes me.

Since the board is clearly frustrating you and there are things you don't like about it that will never change, you should just stop visiting it. Sounds like I'm a smartass doesn't it? That's exactly what you've told people here but replace the show with the board.

Ive been watching Raw since I was a kid...my automatic response to being near a tv with cable on Monday night is to turn on Raw...it's a habit that is going to be hard to break but I actually think I'm going to try. I'm starting to take WWE way to personal and I think I need a break.
