The original game and the sequel. Fun games. Oh, not Obscure? Ah. Well, I started on the ZX Spectrum so, man, how obscure would you like to go here? Has anyone else here even heard about games like Molecule Man, The Pyramid, Zythum, Tujad or the first game I ever actually bought, Roboto?

There was a PS2 game released in late 2003 called Dog's Life that I played a lot because I love dogs, you basically control a dog and the end goal is to save your dognapped girlfriend before she is turned into cat food and whilst I realize that it's aged horribly since it's release it was a lot of fun.

Another Playstation game that I'm not sure that could be considered obscure: Brigandine. It's a fun little strategy game. There's a Japanese-only release where they added new stuff and an actual final boss, and just a couple of years ago some people made a patch to translate the entire game to English. Needless to say I played through that one a lot when I found out about it.
Skullmonkeys is another game that I played a lot of back then. Nice platformer, and it has a pretty nice soundtrack to boot.

Shanghai II: Dragon's eye for the SNES.
I have it on emulator and still play it regularly.
you could change the tiles from traditional into flags, fantasy stuff and alphabet blocks!
