You're right. My apologies. Bad choice of words there.

That's the thing. However justified they may feel. I'm not obligated to watch a channel that no longer entertains me, and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people feel that way, and we don't like being written off as bigots just because they threw on a wig. Okay?
What solutions can they possibly offer? The game industry is exploitative and abusive of its employees and its customers. There's no actual solutions to offer besides unionization, government intervention, or the collapse of capitalism.
I admit I don't have any answers myself. But then again I don't get paid to cover video game industry stories, and comment on them. Jim does. I just want something other than "This is s***, and I'm going to tell you why it is s***." with no humor or wit or something to justify coming back for more. (and no Nostalgia Critic-style sketches do not count as humor. Quite the contrary.)

And it's not Jim's job to offer solutions either, especially when the solutions are way beyond their scope. That's just a cop-out.

Jim's not a game designer... or video game insider.
What the hell do you want them to do?
They've pretty much just pointed out that they only way anything is going to happen is for people to stop supporting the games industry and also knows that sure as shit isn't going to happen... when people like Ubisoft can just dangle a new Assasin's creed or whatever in front of the audience and a good chunk of people will ignore the gross abuse that the company is responsible for.
Combined with things like the world is shit and people want escapism, which again Jim has gone over countless times.
They've included themselves in the talks as well that they've bought games from companies that pull the shit they've raged about too... so it's not like Jim is standing there as a beacon of virtue either.
Jim has also said some of the things they've done is support independent companies and stop preordering anything.

Another thing they said that turned me off was their videos on the Last of Us Part 2.
Not so much what they were saying, but they seemed rather dismissive of the fact people didn't like Abby because of what happened to Joel, seeming to write it off under a fallacy of "I didn't like Joel, so no one else should either."
Even I as someone who hated Joel, and wanted to see him pay for what he had done was put off by Jim's attitude.

Yeah I support what Jim is saying 100% but I'm reaching a point where I just can't watch anymore. They've become really repetitive and overly negative without anything even remotely fun about their videos anymore.

I'm sure it doesn't help much some folks (me included) that they are going more and more turning into a political Youtube channel and leaving the gaming stuff on Twitch (and that's a rare occurence). Which considering they are mostly known as a video game industry comentator with a good amount of good humor in the mix, it's probably not the most appealing thing.

Figured I'd go ahead and watch their E3 video and yeah, it's the same issue. Basically the entire thing is them making completely valid points I totally agree with in a completely joyless, repetitive manner. It's really frustrating because I do really want to like their videos but I feel like I get way more fun out of watching literal politics videos than I do their stuff these days. Like there's a joke toward the end where they go on about how they hate all video games and everyone who's ever played one and it barely even feels like a joke.
