Also Frank Miller's Superman... sounds exactly how I'd imagine Frank Miller's Superman to be.
f***ing Awful.
Almost like giving a book to someone with a terrible recent track record, tons of baggage and that has stated multiple times they hate the character was a bad idea or something...

Hell, there are a lot of pulp-esque characters from the 40's that might actually play to his strengths. Best case scenario he actually revives some interest in these obscure characters, worst case scenario is we get a crappy book that everybody forgets about a month after it's published. But giving him major characters like Batman and Superman to do stories about just creates embarrassing memes that haunt the company for years.

Look at DKIII. Most people hated it before it came out. But it sold really well. Miller's DC work sells well. So DC will keep using him. I am looking forward to see if any of the ideas for Superman that Frank mentioned in an Amazing Heroes interview from 83 will happen in this upcoming comic.

Havent seen this posted yet.
Seems Glenn Danzig has made a film based on his old Verotika comic. Screened it at a festival. And early reviews are calling it "The Room of horror anthology films."

So.......... is Matthew Rosenberg's UNCANNY X-MEN ending with a reset button or something? There are SO many deaths in this that I can't see them all sticking. But a weird part of me wants.....them.....too? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Wolfsbane, Strong Guy, Blindfold, Vanisher, the Marauders, Chamber.....probably a few more.
And today, the Dark Beast and the Nasty Boys (old '90s X-Factor foes aligned with Mr. Sinister) join them. Plus they bring Fabian Cortez and Trevor Fitzroy back to life - a lot of that since Secret War so I reckon that's to blame - as well as Siena Blaze and Shinobi Shaw (who may've been dead - and now is dead again). It's bewildering, and damn it all this run is the most interested I've been in the X-Men for years. And I have no idea where it's going..

Nice. And as this was announced yesterday, this is *not* in fact the big Spider-Man countdown thing (that Brevoort was hyping as a secret project). Interesting. As soon as I saw Larsen's name attached to Marvel #1000 I wondered if he would be doing something more.

We have an answer to the countdown and, honestly...I didn't see this coming at all. Seems neat.

It's a mini-series, so no interest.

Big director writing Marvel miniseries.... *flashback to Kevin Smith's unfinished DD miniseries* *flashback to Jon Favreau's unfinished Iron Man miniseries* *remembering that Marvel laughed off the significance of these things never being finished* ........so if this one gets finished, we credit his son for that.

On the other hand Joss Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men run was awesome. It did get delayed a few times from what I can remember though.

Gerry Conway isn't impressed with the announcement, he reckons JJ won't do any actual writing on the book at all

Which Smith miniseries? I only remember Guardian Devil which did come out on time even... The Evil that Men Do with Spider-man/Black Cat was late as hell but eventually finished... terribly with them going down the Black Cat was raped which is why she became a criminal... instead of just you know... her original story of her Father being a famous cat burglar and she followed in his footsteps...

Daredevil/Bullseye: The Target, from 2002. Only 1 issue ever came out. His last update was on 2005, he said it'd be continuing in 2006.
