Spider-Man#3 {Spoiler}Nooooo, the Disney Princess Spider got turned...and she still finds an excuse to burst into song!
Oh and Peter got stabbed by the unsubtle knife and cut off from the web of life and destiny, ceasing to exist, so I guess this is Slott's way of removing his chosen one status so he can be saved by a new one
Anyone find it a little too coincidental that Marvel and DC's flagship heroes both snuff it in the same week?

Dark Web#1 is out and it is just dreck {Spoiler}{Spoiler}OK, it's established Peter wanted to date Felicia to forget about MJ. Not only does MJ cease being mad at him in this issue, she and Peter spend time together chatting at the Coffe Bean...so why does Peter even need Felicia at this point? Oh, and Felicia's not even mentioned or crosses Peter's mind the whole time he's reconnecting with MJ.
Norman talks to Peter about the loss he feels for his son...but the whole dramatic tension is undercut for invested readers when Norman has to point out that the Harry who died at the climax of Spencer's run was just a clone.
Ben has a fantasy that is NOTE FOR NOTE a rip-off of the nightmare Madeline Pryor had in Inferno where pieces of her body are taken off and put onto Jean Grey by Cyclops. And the final big indignity? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Venom is being used as a 90s throwback muscle man who wants to eat Peter's brain again {Spoiler}

Knowing that there's a new Batman/Spawn comic makes me wonder what year this is.

It doesn't surprise me that Valiant and Aftershock stiff talent. Both companies are poorly run, and it's surprising how people just assume Aftershock especially has learned how to do anything (even sell their books), when they haven't.

It started with an incredible first issue and has decreased in quality with each issue.

To be fair I haven't read the Failsafe comics but based on the YT summary I watched it sounds exactly like the kind of Batman story I hate. I have no use for the "with enough prep time Bruce can beat anyone" argument because to me it takes away one of the things that makes the character interesting- in the end he is just a normal dude in a bat cape fighting crime. At any point he could die at the hands of a mook with a gun. He shouldn't be building robots that can take out the Justice League single-handedly. He shouldn't be portrayed as enormously powerful (esepecially at the expense of other heroes) just because he's enormously popular.

I wanted to like Batman/Spawn as I've really been into the Gunslinger series, but I did not care for this at all. About halfway through I stopped even trying to read it, and just looked at the pretty pictures.
And the pearls. Always with the pearls.
