Even if TNA's 'alive'...can WWE's pretty awesome production studios still make a Rise and Fall of TNA now?
Like...just based on the archived footage?
I mean...they might as well start making that documentary at least...

WWE practically got a goldmine and all they exchanged for it was basically a pair of broken copper buttons. 1.3 million, that's pocket change to them.

On one hand, it makes a LOT of sense..... they can't really make a good AJ Styles DVD without TNA, they already have a good working relationship with Japan and ROH as they have used a lot of footage from those companies in past DVDs.... TNA was really the only missing component. Guys like Samoa Joe, R-Truth, etc,... and I have a feeling Kurt Angle will return in some capacity at some point, be it for a retirement run/match or just as a part of a legends contract... you're gonna want his TNA stuff in there.
Anyway, I'm rambling.
I know it takes a LOT of time to get all this red tape cleared up and a lot of work goes into digitizing, editing and uploading everything to the Network. But I'd honestly love it if as soon as the sale went down and they acquired the library they focused all their efforts on just one TNA show and upload it just to go full Nelson Muntz and say "HA-HA!"
As far as the talent is concerned, they're the ones I do feel bad for. I mean, there's money on the independent scene as well as Japan for a lot of the guys, specifically the ones WWE won't be targeting. I know the Broken Hardys will do just fine if they want to hold out on jumping over, but honestly... Aron Rex and Cody Rhodes... I mean, again.... there's money for them out there but I just feel like they're looking at this whole scenario like "god dammit!"

This would probably be the best move for everyone involved - hopefully it all pans out. WWE gets more content, Dixie gets ousted and Impact gets a second lease on life.

I think this means WWE may have financed this week of tapings, since they'll own the footage anyway, and it ensures they have closure on the stories.
