Something else that was pointed out, probably covered in here, but in the meeting Dixie claimed that she'd never sale to WWE but not only did TNA contact WWE to start talks but she was active in them. . Dixie lied about that? SHOCKING! Dixie lied??

PWInsider is a respected dirtsheet. It's just behind the Observer and the Torch. I think it's more a case of PWI's two lead writers are close friends of Bob Ryder, so it's not so much a comment on PWI's status but that the whole thing was likely fed to them by Ryder. The wording of the comment I quoted seemed to question PWI's credibility and I have a pet peeve about the legit news sites, like PWInsider, being lumped in with the fake newz ones. PWI do seem a little more biased towards TNA than the others, and I haven't read it in years due to all the horrific pop-ups I used to get on the site, but someone here said that they are still critical of TNA from time to time.

By all accounts, it really does sound like the walls are closing in for TNA. It hasn't been good for a while, but I don't see how they stay alive past 2016.

My thing was that other sites with legit credibility had no idea that the anticipated meeting actually took place and had no news from it. But PWI had exclusive scoops. Which means the news was approved by TNA inside sources aka the boys in the office.

Whether it's genuinely what happened or what the office wants everybody to think is happened is open to debate. If it's the latter, they're really dumber than any of us thought.

Hey, thought occurs, do they even have tv after these tapings air? Do they have a guarantee from Pop for 2017? Both sides have said it's a multi-year deal but hard telling if there's actually any truth to that. Is it a muti year deal like Bram's contracts?

Dixie has a Svengali effect on people because you'll have TNA folks who'll defend her to the death online while waiting on the missing checks to show up. People who are more than willingly pissing off their fans. I still think the interview Lashley did calling her out played more of a part of his upcoming title situation than his future mma fight did. People like Bennett and Maria know no one else will treat them like TNA so it makes sense for them to be dickriders. Others do it out of blind devotion but still get treated like a ho because management doesn't respect them. No, he said Svengali! Oh, we're the closing chorus We hope you liked the show We know you're rooting for us But now we've got to goooooooooo....

That press release takes me back to my younger days when I would read fanfiction.net. It doesn't sound even remotely plausible.

Seeing some sources saying it's definitely false, some saying it's true, and some saying it's being said to be false to cover a source but rumor making the rounds is the person who billed out TNA is whoever Bill Simmons is. Inclined to take that with a grain of salt given all the conflicting word on it. Wait...Boston Sports Guy Bill Simmons? THAT Bill Simmons?

Bill Simmons is a big Smashing Pumpkins fan, but he and his kid are also huge WWE fans. I would think there would be a conflict of interest if he decided to help Corgan financially keep TNA afloat. Meeting Triple H backstage or getting Mania tickets could get awkward. No, he said Svengali! Oh, we're the closing chorus We hope you liked the show We know you're rooting for us But now we've got to goooooooooo.... The cameo at 2:32 was probably how he reacted when hearing TNA still lives.

I have a friend who's both a Simmons fan and a guy who defends every bad decision WWE makes because hurr durr smarks suck, so if that turns out to be true, his pro-TNAness is going to be insufferable.

So is creating content for the WWE network their new business model?
Are they just gonna sell their IP every fiscal year they come up short?

If that is true, Corgan is a bigger damn fool than I could have expected.
