Rey since he was so utterly shameless about it. I remember an interview with Rey where he said Orton didn't like the "Eddie's in Hell" line and didn't want to say it but Rey pushed him into it. I mean, if 2006 Randy Orton thinks it's a bit much, you should probably rethink it.

Definitely Rey, and it's one of those things where the intention was way better than the execution. It could've been about how Rey wanted to honor Eddie's memory by overcoming odds to become champion like Eddie was, but it ended up being "Eddie passed away so please sympathize with me!".

Sasha sounds so forced everytime she brings it up.

Now and forever Rey Mysterio. I was never a huge fan, but that period made me despise him.

Rey was still wearing "EG" arm bands 2 damn years after he died. He also had to say the name "Eddie" in every promo during that time period.

At least Rey and Eddie have some kind of a link. Not that I think Sasha is "exploiting" him either.
I really don't like the way some people name drop legends just to get cheers. I know it's always a successful tactic but it's so corny. Cena loves doing it.

Now and forever Rey Mysterio. I was never a huge fan, but that period made me despise him. That period made me despise not only Rey, but the whole company in general. Prior to that I had been a fan non-stop since around 1985. Eddiesploitation was my initial "f*** this, I'm done." Moment. I admit, it didn't last, but my fandom never recovered.

As far as I'm aware, the connection with Sasha is simply Eddie's WWE title win vs. Brock having inspired her to become a wrestler. Nothing more. Which is confusing, because plenty of wrestlers were inspired by classic matches and performers, and none of them needed to hammer the audience over the head with it.

Now I want to be a pro wrestler so I can cut a promo before my Wrestlemania match about how I grew up watching the Blow Away Commercial and Papa Shango making people barf.

I don't find anything "forced" about Sasha mentioning her inspiration from Eddie other than the ones who calling it as such.

Rey, but Sasha's is really...REALLY ridiculous
She probably never even met the man. That'd be like Mojo Rawley trying to invoke the spirit of the Ultimate Warrior

Sasha was a big fan and likes to bring it up, what's wrong with that? She's not the first either. You had Benoit with Dynamite, Edge with Hogan, HBK with Flair. Hell to a smaller extent Punk would mention being an Eddie fan. It's cute (well okay...Benoit/Dynamite isn't).
With Rey it was legitimately "the spirit of my great friend who totally didn't try to take my son from me is watching me. Title belt now plz".

Yeah, years removed from it and all the Rey stuff really was in bad taste.
It should have capped off with Wrestlemania 22 win if they insisted on it. No excuse for it to go further past that.
