So, I've been playint 2K24 for a month and the faction wars section is unfairly set-up to suck, right?

Like, as someone who spent the most time in 2K22 and 2K23 in Faction Wars, you're now telling me live events require me to have a specific cards whose access to is completely random? And not just like "pull a pack with specific odds" random, but not all packs are available at all times and the ones that are might not even give me superstar cards from that pack?

And sooooooo many of the superstars are made up.

I know I'm probably late to complaining about this, but this shit sucks, right?

And the "Free Agent" cards? What is even the benefit or fun if I'm limited how often I can use them?

Yeah I just saw you need a specific Sami card to beat Gunther to unlock Scott Steiner. I don’t know how to get the Sami one. Everyone online seems to hate the mode so i can’t find great instructions for it.

Unless you're trying to do it as a matter of personal pride, I'd say just do what I do and wait for some modder like WhatsTheStatus to post Big Poppa Pump to Community Creations.

For what it's worth, unless there's Big Poppa Pump commentary, just get a CAW, sort by most Upvotes and then look.

There are already ones modded to go over the in-game Scott and he already has heel commentary if you give him the Big Poppa Pump entrance so yeah, pointless to bother with MyFaction. Complete waste of time.

I will say, having seen the Big Poppa Pump entrance though, they made his back hyper detailed.

I really enjoyed MyFaction in years past. They completely broke it this year. Made cards even more difficult to get and you have to play it religiously every day to be able to get everything. If it was easier to get cards, like at least guarantee one card per pack, I'd play more and maybe think about spending money. There used to be a card collecting game on Facebook that was a lot of fun and had an end game of collecting everybody on every team. Spent a lot of time and a bit of money on that.

So the new patch put a content damaged block on the Big Poppa Pump entrance so you can't upload CAWs that have it. So that's stupid. It's not even a MyFaction unlockable or anything, it's a freely available option.

Speaking of MyFaction if anyone cares they added Masked Dominik and Juan Cena as unlockables in it.

Thanks to the new DLC we have some great taunts. Two more push ups, two more more ass slappings AND a new Carlito taunt where just kind of stares.

I always love new stuff but some of it is just bloat. They added a new spinning heel kick and it’s like, do we need another one? Some moves have way too many similar duplicates. If they were animated differently it could be cool.

The brutal schedule finally caught up to him as Wolverine lost the Marvel World Title to the Juggernaut in an Ambulance Match.

2K23 was suuuuuch a better game. I've sunk a month and a half into 2K24 and it's such a downgrade from the broken Faction Wars to the hit detection to the reversal responses - just dogshit.

Yeah, it really is a big step down, especially since patches have largely only served to make the game worse instead of better. I'll still fiddle with the game here and there but I've largely stopped engaging with it at this point.

Glad it's not just me. I've been pouring hours into it thinking maybe it's just a learning curve I'm adjusting to - but no, it's just bad. For as much as people complained of the late 2000s-early 2010s games being re-skins of each other, I would have loooooved a mere reskin of 2K23.

It's like they listened to every complaint about Fight Forever (a game I honestly love and have spent among the most time I've ever spent on a game with it but can admit has flaws) and applied it to WWE 2K24 to give us the worst of both worlds.

I think I'm one of those freaks who enjoys setting up their Universe more than actually playing it, but maybe I'll try to finally start it today!

I've never even tried to do a Universe mode run in these games or had a lot of CAWs, it's probably why I've never encountered like 99% of the glitches.
