Triple H was not a huge star during the Attitude Era, it was a while after HBK left that HHH became a main eventer in his own right.

It should have been it for both. 3 years culminated. HHH and Taker go. The streak ends at 20-0. Absolutely perfect.

Nah, he really was huge at a point, particularly from his Foley feud through to shortly before his injury. Guy was basically the backbone of things in 2000 when the company would've been bringing in record profits if not for the XFL and was insanely hot as a heel. That said, I do wish WWE would focus more on that and less on his DX stuff in talking about how huge he was in the Attitude Era. In DX first he was Michaels's lackey and then when he took over as leader he was easily the least over part of the group.

Did Triple H stop wrestling as a regular full-time roster member after that? He stopped a year before that. ITT: Folks leaving out Mick Foley/Mankind as one of the ring leaders to the whole era.

Yeah, Trips came into his own once he left D-X alone and became MotorH. Thats when i started liking him. He was good in the Attitude Era and he may have been champ, but he was never even close to the levels of Rock, Taker, Angle and Austin. When they all left or stepped back, THEN he became a top guy, but that was more in the Cena era where he was not overshadowed by others so much.

No one was on Austin and Rock's level but he was just as much a star as Angle and Taker in that time period.
