This is my least favorite CFB week of the year. The Heisman was a HUGE deal when I was a kid (the 90's), but the last 5-ish years, I could not give less of a shit. There's still good players competing for it, but it just feels like it doesn't really matter anymore. It's a shame that it seems to have lost some prestige, and I don't think that's just me. I think people talk less about it now than in a while, and really talk about it more out of habit.
And Army/Navy. It's the only game of the week, and it should be for what it is and what it represents and the history. But it really is bad football. And I always watch it. But it's 1940's era football. Handoff three yards, sweep four yards, option 1 yard, ad naseum for 3 hours. If it was....say, Miami (OH) and Southern Miss, people would never watch it and shit all over how unwatchable the games are. But it's not and it's an interesting dynamic. Normally bad football games that people will always watch.

Problem is most of the time we already know who is going win it so there no need to watch the whole hour.
Hell with all the debate when Manziel won it. Everyone knew as soon as he beat Bama there was no way he was losing the award

I know his chances to win are probably less than zero but I am so happy Jabril got the nod. Dude has represented Michigan well, stuck around after the coaching change and had an impact like we have not seen since Charles Woodson roamed the field. My only wish is that he gets taken more seriously by scouts.

On the one hand, this is a school that will greatly benefit from the name and recruiting most likely as Strong going to South Florida may mean a bit more competition in that state with Florida and Florida State also weakening in terms of roster. I don't know, but it makes things interesting in that sense.
On the other hand... FLORIDA ATLANTIC?? That's so out of left field to go from Bama to there... just... weird.
